SUMMARY

As a Senior Demo Engineer,you will be responsible for building, automating, and maintaining scalable demo environments that showcase our platform capabilities. Job Title: Jr. Drupal Developer

Alpha Omega is seeking a Jr. Drupal Full Stack Web Developer to support our client. This position is part of an agile development team supporting our client’s efforts to consolidate its web pages into a modern, unified presence. The position will work across various geographical locations to implement UI/UX designs in the Drupal CMS.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Exposure on developing web solutions in Drupal and PHP implementations in a LAMP environment as well as user interfaces for websites and or web application

• Ability to architect enterprise Drupal solutions including data, display, and information architecture

• Advanced site building experience including familiarity with Drupal modules such as Views, and custom modules

• Experienced building responsive websites using Drupal CMS, HTML, XHTML, CSS, CSS3, and JavaScript with or without using frameworks like JQuery

• Knowledge of PHP, PHP files and theme functions, and knowledge of the Drupal theme layer

• Can convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages

• Thorough understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle eg Requirements, Design, Development, Testing and exposure to Agile or iterative SDLC

Required Qualifications: 

 Experience/Skills: 

• 1+ years of development experience.

• Experience with front-end development writing HTML/CSS

• Experience building pages, templates, and components based on existing designs

• Proficiency with Javascript/jQuery, Bootstrap and Sass/Compass

• Experience with front-end systems and tools, such as Node.js and JavaScript task managers

• Comfortable working with the command line within a LAMP stack environment (Linux, Apache, MySQL/MariaDB, and PHP)

• Agile experience

• Experience deploying websites in a centralized environment

• Experience with migrating sites and site content from static sites or other CMS to Drupal.

• Ability to create and execute content migration plans.

• Experience in PHP and Twig

• Familiarity with Bash scripting

• Familiarity in Docker and configuring containerized environments

• Familiarity with 508c/WCAG compliance and accessibility

• Experience in DevOps a plus

Salary and Benefit Information: 

The likely salary range for this position is $50,000 - $72,800. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position and could fall outside of this range.

Our Apartments.com team in Austin, TX is currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join us in supporting continual growth and development of our industry leading websites. Work together with a ‘startup-minded’ development team delivering innovative web and business applications. Work is conducted using Ruby on Rails, C#, Python, and JavaScript, with most project code running on Linux. Applications are backed by SQL Server and a rich ecosystem of ETL processes, data caching, and application support architecture.

This role will be based in our Austin, TX office, offering a schedule of Monday-Thursday in office and the option to work from home on Friday.

Responsibilities

• Development of website and software using the above-mentioned technologies.
• Building applications with innovative use of open-source software.
• Best-practice software engineering for performance, maintainability, and stability.
• Design and development of AJAX components.
• Competence with Git or similar version control system and experience with SDLC.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited, not-for-profit university or college.
• 5+ years of web development experience on any platform.
• 3+ years of experience using a language such as Ruby on Rails, C#, Python, or PHP.
• Competence on a Linux development stack.
• Experience using cloud components/Amazon EC2.
• Demonstrated competence with T-SQL/general SQL.
• Demonstrated creativity and problem solving.
• Proficiency with JavaScript
• A track record of commitment to prior employers.
