Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join our Flood Risk Solutions team. This role is ideal for a developer who enjoys tackling complex technical challenges and wants to build software that strengthens community resilience and advances environmental stewardship. This position is based out of our Raleigh, NC office, with the option to be remote.

You will design, develop, and deliver high‑impact geospatial and water‑resources applications used by clients across the country. Our projects are erse, technically challenging, and deeply meaningful - your work will help shape safer, more sustainable places for people to live and work.

What you’ll do:

• Work in an Agile software development environment to design, code, test, debug, document, and deploy software applications

• Learn and apply concepts in water-resources engineering, including flood modeling and mapping workflows

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• BS/BA  degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited university +4+ years of relevant software development experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
• Proficiency in one or more of the following languages: C#, C++, or C, with a strong grasp of language-specific best practices
• Experience working with relational databases, particularly Microsoft SQL Server, including schema design and query optimization
• Hands-on experience deploying and managing applications in AWS or Azure cloud environments.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git, GitHub, or Azure DevOps, including branching strategies and collaborative workflows
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design and programming principles
• Due to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications:

• MS degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited university
• Strong knowledge of cloud-native architecture, security best practices, and IAM
• Proficiency in Python for cloud automation, scripting, and integration with cloud services
• Hands-on experience with DevOps workflows, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and configuration management
• Experience with GIS technologies, such as ESRI’s ArcGIS Pro SDK or other geospatial modeling and analysis tools
• Background in Hydrologic and Hydraulic (H&H) engineering, including HEC-RAS 1D/2D modeling.
• Production-level experience with Docker, Kubernetes and container orchestration
• Experience integrating AI/ML models into production systems
• Development experience with .NET Core
• User Interface development experience in C# with WPF/XAML, including MVVM architecture and data binding patterns

GovCIO is seeking an experienced Testing Lead to support one of our cross-functional delivery teams. This position is 100% remote within the DC Metropolitan area with occasional on-site meetings.

Responsibilities

Testing Leadership

• Lead and manage all testing activities across the software development lifecycle to ensure delivery of high-quality, reliable solutions.
• Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases aligned with program objectives and release schedules.
• Oversee functional, integration, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing efforts.
• Establish and enforce quality assurance standards, best practices, and testing methodologies.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Business Analysts, and Development teams to ensure requirements are testable, clearly defined, and aligned with acceptance criteria.
• Manage the defect lifecycle process, including tracking, prioritization, root cause analysis, and resolution validation.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to QA/test engineers, fostering continuous improvement and accountability.
• Support and guide test automation strategy development, including selection and implementation of appropriate tools and frameworks.
• Review source code in GitHub repositories (primarily TypeScript-based applications) to understand functionality, validate logic, and support development of effective test coverage.

Technical Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated testing solutions using modern browser automation and emulation tools such as Puppeteer (emulated browser) and Playwright, with understanding of Microsoft-focused tooling ecosystems.
• Leverage Selenium for browser-based automation, with understanding of its architecture and browser dependency requirements.
• Utilize headless browser technologies (e.g., phantom.js) for automated UI and integration testing.
• Implement front-end testing strategies for React applications using frameworks such as Enzyme and Cucumber.
• Develop and maintain automated test suites using JavaScript/Node.js-based testing frameworks such as Jest and related tooling.
• Collaborate closely with developers to ensure testability within CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps environments.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree with 8+ years of experience (or commensurate experience).
• 5+ years of experience leading testing or QA teams within Agile development environments.
• Strong experience reviewing and understanding application code in GitHub, particularly TypeScript-based applications.

About the Role

As the AI Automation Engineer in the AI CoE, you will be instrumental in standing up the initial automation framework for AI Quality. You’ll work closely with the AI Quality Lead and developers to build, run, and scale automated test suites for AI models and agents. 

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks for LLM, RAG, agentic, and classic ML systems 

• Implement golden/adversarial test cases (functional, safety, bias, prompt injection, refusal correctness, tool use) 

• Integrate evaluation tools (promptfoo, Ragas) into CI/CD pipelines and support batch quality assessments 

• Author and validate OpenAPI/JSON Schema contracts for model inputs/outputs; enforce schema checks in pipelines 

• Instrument observability metrics (latency, success rate, cost, drift) using OpenTelemetry and export to dashboards 

• Support data QA, lineage tracking, and drift monitoring (Evidently, OpenLineage) 

• Collaborate with AI developers, SDETs, and SRE to troubleshoot, optimize, and document automation processes 

• Contribute to red-team playbooks and security testbooks mapped to OWASP/ATLAS risks

Requirements

• Experience in test automation, software engineering, or quality assurance (AI/ML experience is a plus, but not required) 

• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript/Node.js, or similar programming languages 

• Familiarity with CI/CD, version control, and cloud-based deployment environments 

• Experience with test automation tools (promptfoo, Ragas, Postman) 

• Understanding of AI model evaluation metrics (faithfulness, answer relevancy, hallucination, refusal correctness) 

• Basic knowledge of fairness, safety, and security testing for AI systems
