Title: Software Development Engineer in Test
Location: Toronto/Onsite
Job Description:
About League
Founded in 2014, League is the leading healthcare consumer experience (CX) platform, powered by artificial intelligence (AI), reaching more than 63 million people around the world and delivering the highest level of personalization in the industry. Payers, providers, and consumer health partners build on League’s platform to deliver high-engagement healthcare solutions proven to improve health outcomes. League has raised over $285 million in venture capital funding to date, powering the digital experiences for some of healthcare’s most trusted brands, including Highmark Health, Manulife, Medibank, and Shoppers Drug Mart.
Position Summary
The Intermediate to Senior Software Development Engineer in Test is responsible for driving quality through a combination of strong engineering practices and hands-on testing. You will architect and implement automation frameworks while complementing them with thoughtful manual testing to validate complex workflows and edge cases.
You approach testing as a software problem—building reliable, maintainable systems that continuously validate product behavior. Working cross-functionally with engineering and product teams, you ensure quality is built into every stage of development, from design and implementation to release and post-production monitoring.
In this role, you will:
Test Framework & Infrastructure
- Design, build, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks from the ground up for iOS and Android (Appium, Expresso and XCUITEST), and Web (Playwright / Selenium).
- Develop and maintain reusable test libraries, data builders, and mocking utilities that other engineers can consume.
- Instrument test pipelines for observability — flakiness dashboards, coverage reports, and failure triage tooling.
CI/CD Integration & Shift-Left Quality
- Integrate automated test suites as quality gates within CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or equivalent); ensure build failures surface in <30 minutes.
- Champion shift-left testing: participate in design and architecture reviews to identify testability risks early; influence API contracts, feature flags, and observability hooks.
- Collaborate with DevOps/Platform to define and enforce test environment parity between staging and production.
Test Strategy & Execution
- Define and own the end-to-end test strategy for assigned product areas, including functional, integration, E2E, regression, performance, and contract testing.
- Write, review, and maintain high-quality test plans and test cases derived from product and technical requirements across iOS, Android, and Web.
- Lead peer reviews of test code and test cases to ensure depth, breadth, and maintainability of coverage.
- Perform exploratory, risk-based testing to surface edge cases beyond scripted scenarios.
Quality Advocacy & Defect Management
- Serve as the quality owner for one or more delivery squads; track development progress and proactively surface risks and issues related to quality deliverables.
- Triage, document, and prioritize defects in Jira with clear reproduction steps, severity classification, and root-cause analysis.
- Analyze automated test execution results to distinguish genuine failures from test infrastructure noise; drive remediation of both.
- Mentor on automation best practices, clean test code, and testing strategy.
About You:
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
Experience
- 4+ years of experience in software development and/or quality engineering, with a strong emphasis on test automation engineering.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement test automation frameworks from scratch — not just maintain existing ones.
- Hands-on programming proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and preferably one or more of: Swift (mobile), Python, Java or Kotlin for test code.
- Deep expertise in mobile testing on real iOS and Android devices; experience with Appium, XCUITest, or Espresso.
- Experience integrating test suites into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, CircleCI, Jenkins, or similar, Docker).
- Strong command of API testing (REST/GraphQL), including contract testing with tools such as Pact or Postman/Newman.
- Experience with performance and load testing (e.g., Gatling, k6, Locust) is a strong plus.
- Solid understanding of software development fundamentals: version control (Git), code review, clean code principles, and agile delivery practices.
- Experience with agentic workflows and AI-driven test orchestration

Title: Senior Data Analyst, Inventory Visibility and Controls (Hybrid, Seattle)
Location: Seattle, WA
Full-time
Job Description:
The Inventory Visibility & Controls team (IV&C) was established to strengthen enterprise-wide inventory transparency, traceability, and controls, scaling data, analytics, and AI-powered insights that enable proactive decision-making, prevent loss and unsellable inventory, and support foundational capabilities such as RFID and inventory lifecycle management.
We are hiring a Senior Data Analyst for Inventory Visibility & Controls within Inventory Operations. In this role, you will help scale enterprise inventory visibility and controls by translating complex business questions into decision-ready insights and durable analytics products that strengthen traceability across the product lifecycle. In addition to delivering insights, this role will play a key part in advancing automation‑first and AI‑enabled analytics by partnering with product and engineering teams to scale real‑time visibility, anomaly detection, and human‑in‑the‑loop resolution workflows, embedding insights directly into tools that drive action—not just awareness. You will partner closely with business leaders and cross‑functional teams across program management, product, engineering, and analytics to define requirements, acquire and transform data, and deliver dashboards, analyses, and narratives that enable faster anomaly detection and resolution, reduce risk, and unlock unintentionally unsellable inventory.
Additionally, you’ll contribute to a culture of data-driven decision-making through strong storytelling, stakeholder engagement, and data literacy—flexing across priorities as needed to support the team’s highest-impact visibility and controls outcomes. This role is ideal for a senior analyst who thrives at the intersection of data, operations, and controls and wants to reduce manual investigation, accelerate time to resolution, and help shift IV&C from reactive reporting to proactive, automated, and AI‑assisted inventory controls at enterprise scale.
A day in the life…
- Own and lead the delivery of high**‑impact, production‑**ready data products that support enterprise inventory visibility, anomaly detection, and controls across the inventory lifecycle—including complex analyses, scalable dashboards, and executive‑level insights—across ongoing and ambiguous, high‑stakes problem spaces.
- Translate loosely defined business questions into clear analytical strategies, independently designing end‑to‑end approaches that identify the right data, methods, trade‑offs, and success measures.
- Partner with product, data science, and engineering teams to shape AI‑enabled analytics, including anomaly detection, prioritization, and recommendation experiences that support faster, more consistent inventory issue resolution.
- Contribute to human‑in‑the‑loop AI workflows, ensuring analytical logic is explainable, auditable, and aligned with inventory control and financial integrity standards as automation scales.
- Design and maintain trusted analytical assets by driving standards for data modeling, metric definitions, data quality, and governance—ensuring insights are durable, explainable, and aligned to one source of truth.
- Lead analytical storytelling for complex and conflicting findings, connecting data across domains to provide context, highlight risks and opportunities, and influence decisions at multiple leadership levels.
- Anticipate downstream impacts and stakeholder reactions, effectively landing insights that may challenge assumptions while maintaining trust and momentum toward action.
- Mentor and elevate junior analysts, contributing to shared best practices, technical standards, and team learning to raise the quality and consistency of analytical work.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve analytics tooling, architecture, and processes, with a focus on automation, AI‑assisted insights, and scalable self‑service experiences that move the organization from reactive reporting to proactive control.
You own this if you have…
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering); advanced degree or relevant certification strongly preferred.
- 5+ years of professional experience delivering advanced analytics, data products, and business insights in complex, cross‑functional environments.
- Expert‑level SQL skills, with experience writing clean, repeatable, production‑ready code and operating in production analytics environments including version control, deployment standards, and data quality monitoring.
- Advanced experience acquiring, transforming, joining, and blending data across multiple internal and external sources, with deep understanding of data structures, quality considerations, and trade‑offs.
- Expert knowledge of at least one programming language (e.g., Python, R) to support analysis, modeling, automation, and production workflows; working knowledge of additional languages and tools.
- Proven ability to design and execute end‑to‑end analytical workflows, applying advanced statistical, analytical, and (where applicable) predictive techniques to solve ambiguous business problems.
- Experience designing or supporting automated analytics, monitoring, or alerting solutions, with exposure to AI‑assisted or conversational analytics in enterprise self‑service or investigation workflows.
- Exceptional analytical storytelling and communication skills, with a track record of influencing decisions by clearly articulating insights, risks, opportunities, and trade‑offs to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Advanced data visualization expertise (e.g., Looker or similar tools), including the ability to design cohesive dashboard suites, elevate visualization standards, and deliver intuitive, self‑service experiences at scale.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to deeply understand domain‑specific processes, metrics, and systems, and proactively identify where analytics can drive the greatest impact.
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted partnerships with senior stakeholders, operate as a strategic thought partner, and independently drive work forward in highly ambiguous environments.

Title: Staff Quality Engineer
Location: Manchester
Workplace: hybrid
Category: Quality
Job Description:
Ready to shape the future of data?
Matillion is the intelligent data integration platform.
We're changing how the world works with data – and we need driven, curious people who think big and move fast.
We built the Data Productivity Cloud to supercharge data productivity, and now we’re shaping the future of data engineering with Maia – our AI-powered virtual data engineers that help teams design, build, and manage data pipelines at unmatched speed.
Join #TeamGreen, where the mission comes first, collaboration drives us forward, and everyone pulls in the same direction to make a dent in the universe bigger than ourselves.
About the role
We're Matillion, the company behind Maia. Maia is the first AI Data Automation platform that rethinks manual data work by autonomously creating, managing, and evolving data products for humans and AI agents at scale. Quality isn't an afterthought here; it's embedded into everything we ship. As a Staff Quality Engineer, you'll take a senior position within one of our small, focused engineering teams — bringing advanced technical guidance, deep hands-on expertise and a relentless drive to embed quality across the entire development lifecycle.
This is a leadership role as much as a technical one. You'll set the quality standard for the team, champion automation-first and shift-left testing methodologies, and play a pivotal role in shaping the overall quality journey across Matillion's Engineering department. If you believe quality is everyone's responsibility and you have the experience to prove it — we want to hear from you.
Matillion operates on a hybrid basis, with us coming together 2 days a week in our Manchester office to collaborate and drive our mission forward.
What you will be doing
- Leading and overseeing the testing of Matillion products — hands-on in the work while mentoring and guiding junior engineers to raise the bar across the team
- Designing and driving robust quality frameworks that span automation, security, accessibility and performance testing — with an automation-first mindset at the core
- Championing shift-left testing across the development lifecycle, embedding quality from design through to deployment via CI/CD pipelines
- Taking a leadership role in cross-functional collaboration — building a culture of quality excellence and elevating standards across the wider Engineering organisation
- Identifying areas for improvement in the quality journey, driving continuous iteration and playing an active role in talent acquisition and team development
What we are looking for
- Proven expertise in end-to-end testing of SaaS applications across complex distributed systems — including risk-based, exploratory, regression, security and usability testing approaches
- Deep hands-on experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks (Cypress, Pact or equivalent), with strong proficiency in Java or JavaScript and a solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP or Azure) and advanced knowledge of databases and SQL
- A genuine QA mindset — you challenge norms, push back when quality is being compromised and continuously improve how the team works
- Autonomy and inquisitiveness in equal measure — you dig into problems independently, understand causes not just effects, and bring a growth mindset to everything you do
At Matillion, we are committed to providing compensation in line with market standards based on the role, job family, job level and country. This role’s estimated annual salaried pay range for this position is £66,000 - £99,000. The final salary will be based on your relevant skills, experience, and qualifications demonstrated in the hiring process.
At Matillion, we’re here to do something hard - change the way the world works with data, and build a great company along the way. Big, bold goals aren’t for the faint-hearted, and we don’t shy away from them. But we don’t do it alone. No egos, no politics - just great people working together, guided by our six core values;
- Confidence without arrogance
- Working with integrity
- Customer obsessed
- Innovate and demand quality
- Bias for action
- We care
We operate a flexible working culture that promotes work-life balance, with benefits including:
- Company Equity
- 30 days holiday + bank holidays
- 5 days paid volunteering leave
- Health insurance
- Life Insurance
- Pension
- Access to mental health support

Support seamless go-lives. Assist with go-live preparation — including final configuration reviews, documentation updates, and post-launch support — to help customers cross the finish line with confidence.
Build client exposure. Join customer calls alongside senior consultants to observe client interactions and progressively take on direct client communication as you develop.

You bring strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, especially when working across repetitive or manual configuration tasks.
