100% remote workor
Title: Data & Analytics Specialist (AI-Enabled)
Location: Remote, Oregon, 97458 United States
Job Description:
- Full Time
100% Remote | Nonprofit Marketing | Mid-Level
Turn data into decisions. Turn insight into impact.
Nexus Direct is hiring a Data & Analytics Specialist to join our fully remote data team. We're a 21-year-old fundraising and marketing agency that works exclusively with nonprofits-helping them raise more money and reach more people through smart, data-driven direct and digital marketing.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working deeply with data, owning projects end-to-end, and using both analytics fundamentals and modern AI tools to improve speed, accuracy, and insight.
About the Role
As a Data & Analytics Specialist, you'll work on projects from start to finish-handling data intake, segmentation, transformation, analysis, and output. You'll collaborate closely with account, digital, and production teams while maintaining clear ownership of your work.
This is not a reporting-only role. It is a hands-on data role for someone who enjoys solving problems, manipulating large datasets, and building repeatable, reliable processes.
What You'll Do
- Own data and analytics projects from intake through delivery
- Work with large datasets, including cleaning, transforming, coding, and segmenting data for marketing and fundraising use
- Build and maintain workflows in Alteryx for data preparation, automation, and quality control
- Develop audience segments, selections, and suppressions to support multi-channel campaigns
- Partner with internal teams to translate project requirements into data solutions
- Use AI tools to improve efficiency, pattern recognition, quality assurance, and workflow optimization
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity throughout the project lifecycle
- Document processes and contribute to continuous improvement of data operations
What We're Looking For
- 3–6 years of experience in data, analytics, or marketing data operations
- Strong hands-on experience working with large datasets
- Demonstrated experience with:
- Data segmentation and manipulation
- Coding or logic-based data transformations
- Data hygiene, QA, and validation
- Alteryx experience required (building and managing workflows, not just viewing outputs)
- Proven ability to manage projects independently from start to finish
- Experience working successfully in a remote environment
- Clear communication and strong attention to detail
- Must live in the contiguous United States
AI & Automation Experience
We're looking for someone who already incorporates AI into their analytics workflow to work smarter-not someone experimenting for the first time.
This may include using AI to:
- Accelerate data exploration or pattern identification
- Assist with logic validation or QA checks
- Improve documentation or workflow efficiency
- Support insight generation alongside traditional analysis
You don't need to build models-but you should be comfortable using AI as a productivity and insight tool, while relying on sound analytics judgment.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary, commensurate with experience
- Unlimited PTO
- Full health, dental, and vision benefits
- 100% remote work environment
- A kind, generous, mission-driven culture
- Meaningful work that supports nonprofits doing good in the world
- A team that values accountability, ownership, and trust
Who Thrives Here
This role is best suited for someone who:
- Enjoys being hands-on with data
- Takes pride in accuracy and structure
- Is comfortable owning complex work without micromanagement
- Wants to apply analytics skills to meaningful, mission-driven work
If you're looking for a role where your data expertise directly supports nonprofit impact-and where you're trusted to own your work-we'd love to hear from you.
