The Shared Teacher Experience Program for Public and Private Schools (STEP) Teacher is state certified teacher and/or alternatively certified CRE Teacher responsible for delivering specific course content in an on-line environment. The STEP teacher must provide live instruction, support and guidance; be able to manage the learning process and focus on students’ inidual needs. Teachers monitor student progress through Stride’s learning management system, and work actively with students, parents, and associated school to support each student’s educational experience.

This is a part-time position. Hours to be determined by supervisor.

Instructional/Curricular

• Effectively apply working knowledge of the K12 curriculum and Online School as it relates to grade and subject level assignment;
• Provides rich and engaging synchronous learning experiences for students

• Augments course content according to prescribed policies and procedures using appropriate tools
• Prepares students for high stakes standardized tests

Communication

• Contact the students regularly via e-mail or phone;

Records Management

• Develop and maintain student academic progress;

Community

• Organize orientation, training, social, and educational activities for students and families;
• Create a monthly newsletter or updated Web site;

• Lead student/parent orientations, as needed.

Assessment/Evaluation

• Work with the administration to prepare students for state assessments;
• Serve as proctors for site-based proctored exams, when needed;

• Assess students per policy.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree AND
• One (1) year industry experience leading to certification OR
• Equivalent combination of education and experience

Certificates and Licenses: Appropriate State and subject (Sign Language) teaching certification.

Position Overview:

The Executive Director, Operations and Systems, will play a key role in building the capacity and infrastructure needed for scale by leading an operations team that designs and updates the foundational systems, procedures, and tools that the larger Tutoring team uses to deliver tutoring services. The Operations and Systems team currently includes eight iniduals (a combination of full-time and part-time) who implement many of these systems and procedures, and the Executive Director, Operations and Systems, will lead this team to ensure exceptional and efficient operational delivery. In sum, the Executive Director, Operations and Systems ensures that tutoring operations result in an exceptional customer and student experience and a better experience for internal teams and tutors – and that operational systems and processes match current and potential scale.

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, strategic-thinking education leader who uses data to make decisions and ensures outstanding support to team members they lead. Basic Qualifications of the Executive Director, Operations and Systems:

• At least 10 years of experience leading and continuously improving complex operations, ideally delivering education services to states or district school systems
• Team management experience, including at least 10 years of experience leading and growing high-performing teams in a fast-paced (ideally virtual) work environment
• Prior experience, enthusiasm, and comfort within fast-paced, entrepreneurial company culture
• Experience leading the launch, implementation, or expansion of tutoring services or other education services
• Experience managing, synthesizing, and reporting on data
• Project management experience, including the ability to independently plan for and manage complex projects from start to finish
• Strong organization and attention to detail
• Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver on key priorities and initiatives
• Experience overseeing multi-million dollar budgets

What we offer:

Position Summary

Sanford College of Education is seeking a Part-time Assistant Professor in the following areas of specialization(s): Special Education.

In this role, the Part-time faculty member will teach cohorts of students within a programmatic core discipline as assigned. Primary responsibilities include engaging students, offering excellent feedback, and inspiring students to achieve course and program outcomes relevant to the core discipline. This position works closely with other faculty teaching in the discipline, Associate Dean, and Dean.

Essential Functions

Measuring Performance

Specific performance standards for teaching include, but are not limited to:

• Part-time Assistant Professor will email/record and post a welcome letter to their assigned students one week prior to the start of course, when feasible, but always within the first week of the course.
• Part-time Assistant Professor will record and post a video introduction which will be placed in each course.
• Part-time Assistant Professor will answer all student emails within two calendar days which is likely to require responding over weekends. The exception to this requirement is if the Part-time Assistant Professor is on PTO or when there is a holiday observed by the University.
• Communication with students will take place within the University learning management system (LMS), University-designated systems and through University assigned email.
• Part-time Assistant Professor will contact Student Services (by use of designated means) in the LMS as soon as Part-time Assistant Professor determines a student is not actively participating in the course.
• Part-time Assistant Professor will contact a student by email and a phone call to encourage re-engagement in the course as soon as Part-time Assistant Professor determines a student is not actively participating in the course.
• As technologically supported by the platform, Part-time Assistant Professor will host no less than two one-hour synchronous office hour sessions per week. Office hours will be posted in each course.
• Part-time Assistant Professor will provide quality feedback to students. Quality feedback includes but is not limited to:
  • substantive and reflect a content focus
  • impart knowledge, share resources and dialogue with students
  • include track changes of edits to proper use of mechanics
  • include a summative statement at the beginning or end of document with key observations
  • communicate in a manner and with language reflecting support of the student

Scholarship

Part-time Assistant Professor is expected to meet the University’s requirements for scholarship as articulated in the Faculty Handbook. • Hold a master’s degree in Special Education or a related field from an accredited institution.

Guide customers through their training plan, e.g. leveraging self-service options, providing pre and post training documentation.

Assist with technology solutions configurations and setup based on established standard procedures.

Support customers’ review of data converted from other systems when applicable and work with cross-functional teams to identify and correct identified data conversion issues.

Facilitating & Collaborating:

Own the execution of the training plan, schedule sessions, webinars and follow-ups as needed.

Develop trusting and collaborative relationships with assigned customers through effective and proactive communication, empathetic teaching, and product adoption efficiency.

Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, customer success, technology, support and data conversion, to ensure customers have all they need to complete their onboarding journey.

Enablement:

Document and track training activities and progress within the internal CRM / Project Management system.

Collaborate with the customer training team on curriculum improvements and content development to increase effectiveness of training program.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

4-year degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience in a customer-facing role.

In this entry-level temporary contract position, you will be part of a content development team composed of linguists and subject matter experts with a mission to build and curate a collection of vocabulary lists for many languages.

The Vocabulary Content Linguist will be responsible for overseeing the content strategy for Mango s Vocabulary system. You will be expected to plan and adhere to a consistent, fast-paced schedule of content deployments using Mango s in-house content development software. The Teacher is a highly qualified, state certified educator responsible for delivering specific course
