Increasing philanthropic support for U.S. athletes is one of the USOPC’s highest strategic priorities and hence, the organization has established the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Foundation (USOPF) as the fundraising organization for the USOPC and is investing significant resources in its Development ision.
The Major Gifts team is responsible for generating significant support for Team USA, through facilitating the major gift program in their assigned regional territory. The Major Gifts Officer will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, and soliciting major gift prospects (iniduals, corporations, foundations) and participating in donor stewardship activities in the Southeast region, including North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Tennessee. Reporting to the Vice President, Major Gifts, the Major Gifts Officer will manage a portfolio of approximately 100 prospects capable of making a gift of $100,000+. Here’s how you’ll have an impact:
- In consultation with the Vice President, Major Gifts, establish an annual operating plan for the assigned region, with measurable performance objectives, that aligns with the USOPC’s fundraising goals and priorities. Participate in assessing progress toward regional objectives and adjust plan as necessary.
- Successfully manage a major gift portfolio of approximately 100 prospects to meet agreed-upon philanthropic goals for the region. 💪 What you’ll do
* Interact with newly signed up customers and activate them by taking them through the onboarding steps
* Understand finance team needs and provide tailored data-driven consultation* Help customers who face any problems during their activation journey* Be responsible for customer experience metrics along the entire customer journey* Monitor issues / complaints and troubleshoot by working with Product team* Be a part of the renewal journey and build a long-standing relationship with the customer.🤩 Bonus Points
