Key responsibilities

• Automation of infrastructure deployment, configuration, and scaling
• Maintenance of monitoring, logging, and backup systems
• Development of continuous integration platforms and scripts
• Ensuring security of hosts and other online resources
• Daily monitoring of all services and responding to breakage and security incidents
• Maintaining a written knowledge base regarding all practices and processes followed by the team, including step-by-step guides, check lists, trouble-shooting tips and other resources

You ideally will have

• Experience or interest in Ethereum and/or the ecosystem
• Openness to learning & using new programming languages, e.g. Nim
• Experience with configuration management software such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef and cfEngine, etc.
• Experience or/and interest in working in a bare metal environment with experience with bare metal automation tooling such as Canonical MaaS, TinkerBell and OpenStack Ironic 
• High proficiency with Linux operating systems (Ubuntu/Debian), REST API’s, Docker, and ZFS
• Prior experience as a programmer/engineer using low-level languages (C, C++, etc.)
• Experience in, and passion for, blockchain technology.

The Role:

Compensation Package

We’re committed to ensuring that your hard work is recognized and rewarded:

• Base Salary Range: Your base salary will fall between 80,000 CAD and 120,000 CAD annually, commensurate with your qualifications and experience.
• Equity Participation: As a vital member of our team, you’ll also have the opportunity to become an equity holder, with a stake ranging from 0.1% to 0.5% in the company.
• Sales Incentives: Additionally, we offer a performance-based incentive program tied to sales achievements. The specific criteria and rewards for this incentive will be discussed collaboratively, ensuring that your efforts are appropriately recognized.

The Role

We’re looking for a frontend aficionado with passion for the smallest details to help build delightful web experiences for millions of users. This includes framework neutral tools such as web3modal.com which are served by other developers to end users as well as WalletConnect products such as web3inbox that are directly served to end-users. In order to delight developers, you will play an instrumental role in developing framework-neutral tools that can be consumed by apps building on React, Vue, VanillaJS, and more.

• Work closely with our design team in the conceptualization & ideation of new products/features

• Deliver software in TypeScript using web components/React/NextJS
• Translate designs from Figma into modular, reusable and optimized UI components

Your Experience

This is a senior role with huge impact at Floor. This is our best estimation of the experience that would make you successful, but we’re always open to alternative paths to success!

• 7+ years of demonstrated experience delivering high quality and well-tested native apps
• 4+ years of experience shipping scalable & secure iOS apps to a large user base
• A history of shipping production apps using Swift
• Proficiency with Apple design principles and interface guidelines — if the high fidelity mocks aren’t ready yet, you can get started on the basics!
• Experience working in a highly collaborative environment, and mentoring junior engineers
• You’ve tinkered in web3 (although not necessarily professionally)

Role

As a Senior Fullstack Engineer you will be an integral part of our Opus Software Engineering Team. Opus Portal and API went live earlier this year, it’s our one-stop-shop for Staking Services and Rewards, currently for Ethereum, but soon to be launched for other networks. We’re currently growing our team to maintain and extend the existing product to support our customers’ needs. Your main role will be to design, develop, and deploy software systems to optimize our product as well as other staking services.

1. Design and develop a distributed system, which constitutes a staking portal, staking http api and a staking backend in kubernetes.
2. Leading frontend development: You should bring the expertise to improve our current frontend solution for performance, scalability and ease of use- as well as being able to guide and teach more junior developers on your team.
3. Support and Collaboration: Interact regularly with various teams, providing technical support and fostering a collaborative environment to drive the success of projects.
4. Innovation and Improvement: Continually seek to optimize and enhance our staking services and systems, driving innovation and implementing improvement measures to deliver high-quality solutions.

Job requirements

What we are looking for:

• Experience working as a Senior Fullstack Developer on both frontend and backend
• Fundamental knowledge of frontend languages (JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS) and experience with major frontend Javascript libraries, preferably React/next.js
• Fundamental knowledge of statically typed backend languages e.g. Go, Rust
• Experience with working on large-scale, distributed systems (Kubernetes).
• Proven experience in developing and maintaining production software.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
