As a Backend Engineer, Engineering Productivity at GitLab, you will be responsible for measuring and optimizing the developer feedback loop using iteration to improve workflow efficiency for GitLab projects. The team aims to provide a system or toolkit that installs GitLab on their workstation. This system would allow team members and contributors to test changes locally, speeding up the time it takes to make successful contributions. We are looking for a dynamic Mid-Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our team and help us build and enhance backend solutions while improving CI/CD pipelines and standards. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer, working with both frontend and backend technologies.
• Strong proficiency in backend technologies like Node.js, ASP.NET, Kafka, gRPC, and Docker.

Experience with frontend frameworks and libraries, including React, Redux, Next.js, and JavaScript (TypeScript preferred).

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as GitHub, Docker, and AWS (EKS, ECR, S3).
• Experience working with databases such as Elasticsearch, Redis, and EventStore.
• Proficiency in programming languages like JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, Java, and PHP.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code and containerization using Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of API development, including REST and gRPC.

About the job

In this role, you will engage in advanced Red Team or Application Security concepts such as performing covert operations against complex networks while remaining entirely undetected, advanced application manipulation, and basic programming concepts. About the team and role

Quality Engineering team is seeking a highly experienced Staff Software Engineer (SWE) with a strong focus on Quality Engineering to lead our efforts in designing and implementing enterprise-level automation frameworks, driving strategic quality initiatives, and ensuring our software meets the highest standards of quality and reliability. • Oversee the triaging and resolution of production incidents, ensuring root causes are identified and mitigated.Take the lead on defining and enforcing cherry-pick and hotfix criteria for swift and efficient management of production issues.
• Drive efforts to meet automation coverage goals, while also focusing on reducing test flakiness and ensuring the robustness of the test suite.
• Continuously monitor and report automation progress, identifying areas for improvement.
• Develop processes to integrate customer feedback into the testing strategy, ensuring that test scenarios address areas frequently reported by users.
• Perform root cause analysis of negative customer reviews, collaborating with development, product, and UX teams to propose actionable improvements.

At Scribd, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package and is determined within a range. Our pay ranges are based on the local cost of labor benchmarks for each specific role, level, and geographic location. San Francisco is our highest geographic market in the United States. In the state of California, the reasonably expected salary range is between $167,000 [minimum salary in our lowest geographic market within California] to $269,500 [maximum salary in our highest geographic market within California].

In the United States, outside of California, the reasonably expected salary range is between $137,000 [minimum salary in our lowest US geographic market outside of California] to $256,250 [maximum salary in our highest US geographic market outside of California].

In Canada, the reasonably expected salary range is between $172,500 CAD[minimum salary in our lowest geographic market] to $255,250 CAD[maximum salary in our highest geographic market].

We are looking for an experienced Senior Full-Stack Engineer for our Private Capital Markets team. We are building an extensive private asset valuation platform with a modern technology stack and need a savvy engineer for hands-on design and implementation. This is a high visibility project within the company and is moving at a fast pace. This is a fully remote role in continental North America with east coast hours. This role reports into our New York office.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

• Work with an experienced team to develop new features for an extensive web-based valuation platform, from conception to either internal or client-facing deployment.
• Design and program the backends of data-centric applications, in collaboration with domain experts.
• Help specify database schemas, queries and interfaces to in-memory objects, consume and produce web APIs, marshall data effectively.
• Handle backend authentication and validation processes, caching, scaling and parallelization requirements. Use secure techniques to maintain data confidentiality and integrity.
• authentication processes, data page loading, synchronization and efficient data transfer to backend.

Essential Traits:

• Minimum 6 years of professional technical design and programming experience in C# and .Net, React, TypeScript, Redux, and UX workflow.
• BS or MS in an applicable field.
• Rapid web app development experience with C# or TypeScript/JavaScript, including Single Page Applications.
• Ability to translate specifications into understandable visual representations (wireframes or POCs).
• Web app development utilizing common market APIs .
• Cloud and API experience with Azure or AWS.
• Multi-module, databased-backed application development experience.
• SQL and relational DB design and programming experience.
• Object-oriented library development, management and publishing.
• Effective debugging and performance analysis capabilities.
• Experience using git for version control; Azure DevOps experience appreciated.
