• Team - The Agent Productivity Tools (APT) team is a vital part of Coinbase’s Enterprise Applications and Architecture org, responsible for building the customer experience platforms that streamlines the customer service and compliance processes with innovative services, tools and applications that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of CX agents. What we look for in you

OVERVIEW:

A client of Scalable Path is expanding its educational web application into the private sector, and it needs help improving the quality and performance of its existing application. This involves creating automated tests, implementing logging, and improving the dev team's practices.

The client is a Canadian company that has an existing web application that helps young students learn French as a second language.

A core challenge they are facing is getting their Unity 3D WebGL application that runs well on desktop to work reliably on Android and iOS. Specific examples include stabilizing a 3rd party whiteboard feature that is not working properly and getting the application to run consistently in browsers on modern versions of the iPhone and iOS.

The application uses Spring Boot on the back-end and React on the front-end. Additionally they are using OpenVidu and WebRTC.

If you have experience with the back-end technologies mentioned above, that would be nice, but their core need is a strong React developer who is experienced with state management and real-time applications.

What we look for in you:

• You have at least 2+ years of experience in developing web apps and shipping user-facing features with JavaScript and modern, component-based JS frameworks like React.
• You've developed and shipped user-facing features using component-based UI frameworks.
• You’re familiar with current trends and best practices in front-end architecture, including performance, security and usability.
• You’re familiar with product and design lifecycles, and collaborating closely with designers, engineers, and product managers.
• You write high quality, well tested code to meet the needs of your customers.

Nice to haves:

• You have experience launching new products from 0 to 1
• Experience with growth experiments or A/B testing frameworks.
• You've worked on front-end teams in the finance or security space
• You have at least 1 year of experience in developing React Native mobile apps or helped move existing native apps to React Native

Project Overview

Our flagship product is a vast platform with over 30 sub-domains for online courses, masterclasses, online forums, and community meet-ups in 508 cities in 107 countries. We understand what PHP developers need to thrive, and we've created an environment that delivers.  

• Close to Legacy-Free Codebase. We know how technical debt and legacy code can turn into quicksand, so we continually eradicate it. Some examples include the complete rewrite of our notification and payment system and numerous enhancements made to our course platform.

Your Core Responsibilities:

As a software engineer, you’ll work in multidisciplinary teams alongside other engineers as well as traders, researchers, and quants to deliver challenging projects, while taking ownership of the end-to-end product development – from requirements gathering to production.
