We are looking for engineers with experience working with any backend technology, though we use Go, Elixir and Ruby for our day to day work. We believe that even if you have worked in other programming languages such as Java all your life you can still pick up Elixir or Go pretty quickly. For us, it is more important to have someone who is adaptable and can pick up languages quickly.

Responsibilities:

We are seeking subject matter experts in cryptography who possess a deep understanding of how cryptographic protocols function. Cryptography engineers are responsible for guiding the efforts of firmware and full-stack developers who are implementing new features and software integrations for the Lattice1 family of devices.

Providing tools to empower users to self-custody their own cryptocurrency is a serious responsibility so it is important applicants for this role have a solid understanding of private key management, cryptocurrency wallets, and blockchain-specific security considerations.

• Direct and advise firmware and software engineers’ implementation efforts pertaining to a cryptography and crypto protocol perspective.
• Continuously stay apprised of recent developments and best practices in applied cryptography, key management, and blockchain security.
• For a given protocol, an applicant should be able to look through the project’s documentation/code to do the following:
  • Determine which elliptic curve is being used to create public keys
  • Determine how to encode all address types
  • Find how transactions are constructed
  • Decode any serialized transaction data, such as ABI-encoded calldata

Our development stack includes embedded C firmware and a TypeScript SDK. Ideally, an applicant will contribute to both. Mastering C is not a requirement – you will just be helping firmware engineers implement specific crypto functionality.

• For every new network we want to add the following items:
  • (SDK) Request public keys -> convert to addresses
  • (SDK) Receive transaction bytes, instantiate transaction and validate against reference TypeScript utils, serialize transaction and send to Lattice1
  • (Firmware) Implement new curve if needed (we already support SECP256K1, SECP256R1, ED25519, and BLS12-381)
  • (Firmware) Calculate public keys and add option to GetPublicKeys route
  • (Firmware) Decode and validate transaction bytes; render markdown-like text to represent the transaction in as human-readable a way as possible
  • (Firmware) Sign on curve and return signature

Your qualifications and experience:

• Professional experience with cryptocurrency and blockchain technologies.
• A deep understanding of software and hardware cryptocurrency wallets.
• An up-to-the-minute understanding of major blockchain protocols, their roadmaps, proposed changes, etc.

We're looking for an early technical hire to join our small team. Our team values speed, ownership, work-life balance and making products that our customers love.

My cofounder and I have been working on our new business part-time for 6 months and are receiving signals of solution/market fit from customers. The product we've prototyped solves issues that have arisen in secondary and tertiary schools due to ChatGPT (and similar AI).

We're looking for someone who wants to work 2-3 days a week at the moment, but will work hard for those days (20-30 hours). This could be ideal for a new parent, someone who is doing their own startup on the side, or someone who just wants more free-time.

About the job

You'll be building and maintaining features for our customers end-to-end using Rails 7,  Turbo & Stimulus, tailwind-css,  Redis, and PostgreSQL. This job requires exceptional front end skills as some of the user interfaces will have complex interactions that can only be created in JavaScript. There is also deep integrations with a relatively large and complex, albeit well architected, TypeScript library.

As a developer you'll prioritize shipping good quality elegant code very frequently.  In order to do this you will make sure you there are enough tests that you can effectively refactor without fear, but not too many tests that they become brittle and hamper feature development. You'll also fight hard against over-engineering and participate in scope hammering to help keep things simple.

It will be your job in each 6 week cycle to focus deeply on one or more selected pitches and complete them within the specified timeframe (pitch appetite), scope will be the malleable factor that you play with to get things shipped. 

Along with feature development you might sometimes be involved in building deployment tools, monitoring infrastructure, QA, and customer support. You'll also be invited to pitch each cycle and have your own ideas brought into the product.

About you

You should be able to back up your RoR, HTML, and CSS chops with strong JavaScript skills when the need arises. You should have solid fundamentals in linux, containerization, http networking, shell scripting, functional and imperative programming, SQL, ruby, rack, TLS, load balancing, query optimization, algorithmic complexity, and debugging.

To succeed you'll need to be a manager of one and take pride in your work. You must have strong intuition on usable elegant solutions and be good at collaborating without ego to find the best solution. 

In the past you've built scalable distributed systems and understand the common pit-falls when building distributed systems. You are comfortable setting up deployment infrastructure fit for purpose and push back against unnecessary over-engineering – you don't believe every startup requires Kubernetes. 

You read frequently and can confidently point to you favorite programming books. In addition to being a prolific reader,  you enjoy writing and have strong writing skills. 

You're comfortable getting on the phone with people and know that it's often the quickest way to get something done.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and improvement of engineering practices, processes, and tools to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Drive development and contribute to continuous improvements in coding standards, performance, and scalability.
• Oversee network operations, ensuring stable and secure infrastructure for our applications.
• Manage incidents and troubleshoot technical issues, providing timely resolutions to minimize downtime and disruptions.
• Provide project management expertise, overseeing sprint planning, roadmaps, and deliverables execution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.
• Prepare and deliver regular reports on project progress and achievements.
• Mentor and guide team members, creating career development plans and conducting regular 1-1s to support their growth.
• Lead the onboarding process for new team members, ensuring a smooth integration into the team.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, HR, DDC, and S&T departments.
• Engage with the EDP community in Discord, sharing knowledge, contributing to discussions, and promoting a positive team culture.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Lead Software Engineer or similar role, with a strong software development and project management background.
• Experience with Substrate or other Blockchain frameworks.
• Solid understanding of blockchain technology, decentralized systems, and distributed ledger protocols.
• In-depth knowledge of blockchain consensus algorithms, cryptographic principles, and security best practices.
• Experience in optimizing the performance and scalability of blockchain systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to architect and design complex software systems.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and guide team members.
• Prior experience working in agile development methodologies.
• Familiarity with other blockchain platforms and protocols is a plus.

As the Lead Full-Stack Engineer at Cere, you will head the team responsible for expanding and enhancing our data cloud tools. Your leadership and hands-on involvement will cover several critical aspects of our technology. You will direct the design and implementation of new functionalities, playing a key role in extending the capabilities of our platform. Furthermore, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our tools and promptly identifying and resolving any issues that may arise.

Your insights will contribute to the strategic direction of our systems, and your input will be essential in providing a seamless user experience, thus paving the way for onboarding the next generation of users to the Web3 realm. Your role will be central to our products’ continuous innovation and success, and your leadership will shape the path towards realizing our mission in the Web3 ecosystem.

Senior Application Engineer – .NET + React

As a Senior Application Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to work with clients to develop complex business applications for the Azure platform. The role is a technical client-facing role that will be accountable for application analysis, design, and development. The ideal candidate will have superior communication skills and a track record supporting technical discussions with clients. A successful candidate for this position will be able to demonstrate proficiency with the design, implementation, and support of cloud solutions.

Responsibilities

• Full stack development using .NET and React.
• Own technical design, project scope and working with the project team to build solutions that meet our client’s needs.
• Drive design and development of client’s solutions by providing architectural guidance and appropriate recommendations to overcome blockers.
• Keep up with emerging technology trends.
• Resolves complex issues that may involve multiple systems, while understanding potential business and information technology risks for the customer.
• Solve challenging business and technical problems to meet client needs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience working in application development teams.
• A passion for building front-end applications and cloud-native applications using PaaS, containers, serverless and modern front-end JS/TS.
• Recent Front-end web development with React.
• Desire for continuous learning and new technology to be used in the cloud space.
• API-driven application design experience.
• Skill or mastery of C# .NET development, dependency injection, and SOLID design patterns.
• Experience in SQL or NoSQL integration with .NET.
• Understanding of how to host, configure, and secure web applications in Azure.
• Ability to utilize or setup Azure DevOps (Git) repositories and branch management strategies.
• Worked in agile-scrum environments and understand how to manage a backlog.
• Utilized unit testing frameworks like xUnit, NUnit, or MStest with Moq.

If you are hired at 3Cloud your final base salary is based on factors such as skills, education, experience and/or geographic location. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above includes the full base salary range for the role. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range.

$90,000—$182,000 USD
