The Role:

In order to reward users for the items they purchase, we must accurately identify products based solely on the receipt image submitted by users to the Fetch app. However, many retailers make it difficult to identify products on a receipt. That’s where the Receipt Quality Team comes in.

Skills and experience we believe you will need for this position:

• 2+ years of leadership experience, directly managing (performance reviews, coaching, delegating, etc.)

Salary:

At Fetch, we offer competitive compensation packages to the exceptional folks we hire. The Role

The Manager of Quality Assurance Analysts will work as part of the APD IT team under the direction of the Sr Director App Dev. This person is responsible for managing a team of quality assurance analysts that are accountable for writing comprehensive test plans/cases, test execution, coordination of UAT testing, and helping release management for several IT systems/teams. This person will manage the day-to-day performance of subordinate staff to ensure all projects and/or department milestones and/or goals are met. This will be done by quarterly goal setting quarterly, frequent one on ones and team meetings, as well as any other medium the manager feels is necessary.

In addition to managing a team, this person will need extensive experience planning, facilitating, implementing manual and automated regression testing, and managing the execution of test plans that ensure high quality releases within an agile methodology. As Senior Manager of Engineering, Quality reporting to the VP of Cloud Engineering, you will lead 1upHealth SDETs to develop and scale testing of the 1upHealth FHIR platform. In collaboration with other engineering leaders, you will use a metrics-based approach and industry frameworks to ensure functional reliability and performance scalability.

In this role, you’ll get to:

• Attract, inspire, and retain exceptional engineers.
• Partner with teams across the organization to deliver Quality roadmaps with predictability.
• Direct technical implementation and delivery of UI/API testing, as well as performance of the AWS-based 1upHealth FHIR Interoperability platform
• Work across the organization to optimize the 1upHealth platform for reliability and scalability, while reducing its overall cost of operation.
• Deliver Testing as a service, using Agile SCRUM methods and foster a metrics-based software development culture.
• Partner with our Application Security team to ensure the security of our customers’ data using secure development practices that align with industry best practices.
• Partner with our DevOps team to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines, so product teams are ensured of timely feedback on code changes.

We are looking for people who have:

• Preferably 5+ years managing a QA team which was responsible for:
  • testing deployed commercial web applications
  • manual AND automated with experience in driving automated over manual testing (feature, regression, and performance)
  • creating AND maintaining their own own tools and frameworks, while also evaluating build-versus-buy
• Previously managed teams, where testers were embedded in product teams
• Demonstrable success leading and growing, both functional and performance teams. Previous hands-on experience as a manual tester, automation engineer and technical leader.
• Technical ability to problem solve with testers for coverage trade-offs and risk.
• Experience directing metrics-based secure software development. Must have working knowledge of industry standard testing best practices.
• Comfortable communicating with engineers and senior management.
• Worked in Agile SCRUM methodologies.
• Worked with both operations and data, at scale.
• Strong understanding of software QA methodologies and strategies.

We're looking for an experienced full-time inidual to join us as the 1st QA Engineer on our team. Someone who has a solid understanding of web technologies and real world user behavior and wants to help test, QA, and launch major user-facing features. You'd enjoy an opportunity to lead the way on the QA front and help us establish best practices for testing/QA and help us improve the quality of our product.

You should have at least 4 years of experience with testing/QA of user-facing behavior. You have a brain for breaking things. You are detail-oriented and thorough when writing down test plans and when opening high-quality bug reports. You deeply care about the quality of a product and have a solid understanding of modern test automation frameworks like Cypress or Playwright.

You’re comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a small and talented team where you're supported in your efforts to grow professionally. You are able to manage your time well, communicate effectively, and collaborate with a fully distributed team.

• You’ll be reporting to our Sr. Frontend Engineering Manager and you’ll be working closely with the Frontend, Backend, Product Management, and Design teams.

• Help us improve the quality of what we’re shipping, reducing amount of bugs/regressions.

• Help us test features as they are being built/reviewed, and keep an eye on recently shipped code for potential issues.

• Primarily you'll focus on testing/QA of user-facing behavior and creating high quality issues (bug reports) based on testing our in-product UI across web, desktop, and mobile.

• Additionally you'll test against our API and consider ways our customers may hit issues in their integrations or with Zapier.

• Help us improve how we’re doing automated testing (unit, E2E, etc.).

• Help Dev teams find ways to improve their testing strategies.

Responsibilities

• Being a vocal champion of quality within the organization to increase the speed and quality of key deliverables

Qualifications

The base salary range for this role is $75,000 – $82,000 with a 10% Bonus.
