Technology
Our backend system provides API endpoints through microservices, most of which are written in Python. Our tech stack includes Docker, Postgresql, ElasticSearch, Kubernetes, flask, nginx, terraform, and AWS services such as EC2, S3, SQS, and ECS.
Our front-end is mostly written in ES6. Our tech stack includes React, Redux, and Flow. We use mocha, chai, enzyme, and selenium for testing. We use webpack for packaging, and docker for containerization. And we’re constantly trying new tools and practices to be the best we can.
About Nimbus
Nimbus delivers powerful, flexible, and consistent dev environments through the IDEs developers are already using. We're taking the mega-cap (Amazon, Google) approach to dev environments and making it available to everyone else.
How does it work? Developers work on lightning fast cloud machines without having to setup or manage their dev environment. Teams can easily spin up, update and fan out updates globally while creating a more productive and flexible work environment (e.g. more power, work from any machine, cut test/build times, etc.).
About the role
Skills: Go, GraphQL, MySQL, Redis, TypeScript
About Nimbus
Nimbus is a cloud development environment platform that delivers pre-configured environments to engineers through the tools and editors they already use.
Imagine joining a new team and being able to jump in and start writing code on day 1 without the frustration of setting up your dev environment. Or being able to grab a coffee or lunch without worrying about your long-running process getting killed if your laptop goes to sleep or is closed. Or, how about, running Docker on your Mac without losing responsiveness and performance?
The biggest tech companies in the world have already figured this out but small and medium-size companies don’t have the time, money, or expertise to build it themselves. That’s where we come in.
We’re building this for everyone else and we’re doing this without dictating how technical teams should work. Rather than ask engineers to massively change their workflow or toolset, we integrate with their local tools to deliver a seamless and stable cloud experience.
About the role
This is our first Backend Engineering hire and we’re looking for someone that can lead and be hands-on. They’ll lead the design, development, and implementation of many aspects of Nimbus’ cloud dev environment platform. Engineers choosing Nimbus are putting a lot of faith in us. If Nimbus doesn’t work - they can’t either. That’s why it’s critical that this engineer hold a high standard for delivering reliable and secure software.
At Nimbus, you will:
- Build and own a scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure and backend services
- Drive critical technical decision making - your work determines Nimbus’ architecture
- Be a champion for software quality, performance, and developer experience
- Partner with the founders to build a roadmap that enables our product vision
We’re looking for someone with:
- 5 years or more as a backend software engineer (including full-time internships) and/or worked as a Staff Software Engineer or equivalent
- Experience with Go, Typescript, GraphQL, MySQL, Redis or similar tech stacks
- Experience building or owning systems/components such as web servers, event-driven systems, data pipelines, or distributed systems at scale
- Excellent verbal and written communicator - able to simplify complex concepts and communicate understanding and impacts
- Sets a high bar for quality software from themselves and others
We’d love it if you had:
- Experience building developer tools or B2B products for enterprise
- Experience building services on top of public cloud providers (like AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, and Digital Ocean)
- Experience with infrastructure technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, or related technology
What are some of the perks?
- Remote first (we don’t have an office!)
- Competitive salary with equity
- Fully covered health, dental, and vision insurance
- 401(k) plan
- Unlimited time-off
- No bureaucracy; flat structure
Technology
We're currently building on AWS (using step functions, lambda, global accelerators, cloud formation, control towers, EC2, S3, etc.). Our backend is built on Typescript, GraphQL, Go, Prisma, and MySQL. Our webapp uses React, Redux, and Typescript.
We're laser-focused on delivering an incredible developer experience through performance and unlocking better ways of developing through the cloud.
Interview Process
Intro call: 20 min chat with one of the founders to understand your background, career goals, and motivations, and to answer any initial questions you might have Technical interview: 20 min chat exploring a past project or experience followed by a hands-on 40 min exercise - both done with the CTO Take-home assessment and review: We’ll present you with a challenging technical problem that you will work on independently and review with our CTO Meet the rest of the team: Get to know the other founders

We are looking for a Sales Lead to join our team who is passionate about the space industry and beyond. You will be responsible for growing Epsilon3’s customer base and meeting or exceeding our revenue goals.
The ideal candidate is a former startup founder who was responsible for hitting sales goals before. We need someone who is a full-stack “sales athlete” and can do a little of everything: understanding our business well, sourcing your own leads, managing your own opportunities, and driving them to close.
There will be significant growth and leadership opportunities for this person as our sales team expands in the future. This role would also present the right candidate with exposure to all of the aspects of sales and go-to-market and provide ownership opportunities across the entire sales cycle. The Epsilon3 leadership is committed to investing in its team members, and this role would provide for additional mentorship resources to grow as a sales and revenue leader.
Responsibilities
* Grow our ARR to reach our monthly, quarterly, and long-term goals
* Generate and pursue new customer leads with daily manual/cold outreach, network/warm intros* Draft copy for automated email and LinkedIn campaigns; manage and track campaign performance* Track sales metrics like close rate and cycle time, trial conversion rates/cycle times, etc.* Get referral sales up and running* Develop better email messaging for each stage of the sales process* Keep improving and documenting a repeatable sales process* Top of the funnel/GTM/outbound: Figure out a scalable way to get in front of customers (top of funnel) in order to hit our revenue goals, including via outbound (massive & ABM), LinkedIn, distribution partnerships, content marketing, social media ads, etc.* Refine our ICP, target markets, and sales strategy* Build out post-sales process to minimize churn, ensure customer success, and expand accounts* Improve and evaluate tools for automated outreach and sales automation and improvement* Refine sales/marketing collateral* Serve as the advocate of our clients, understanding their needs, concerns and ensuring that our solutions are helping to solve their problems* Educate clients on how they can use Epsilon3 to enhance their integration, testing and operations* Communicate value propositions of utilizing the Epsilon3 platform and enhance messaging surrounding return on investment for customers* Increase renewal rates and reduce churn* Influence future lifetime value through higher product adoption, client satisfaction and overall health/NPS scores* Drive new business growth through greater advocacy and reference-ability* Support clients with technical questions and act as an intermediary between client and engineering development team* Reach and support team quarterly KPIs activity* Manage accurate and complete information in CRM* Keep product development roadmap up to date with customer feedback and requests* Maintain in-depth knowledge of the product, feature set, and roadmap* Understand customer business issues and needs as well as additional tools and competitive market* Join and actively participate in customer discovery calls and technical demonstrations* Support software QA and user testingBasic Qualifications
* Customer empathy: Expert at getting to know your leads/customers, identifying their needs/pain points, and knowing when the product can/can’t help them. This involves listening, asking questions, and building relationships to help sell.
* Experience building or executing a successful sales cycle: Must be process-oriented enough to track your process and achieve results. This includes the full stack of sales — building a pipeline, finding leads, qualifying leads, selling, closing, etc.* Metrics-driven: You need to know your numbers — certainly revenue targets and actuals, but also the efficiency of your own pipeline, from top-of-funnel down to close rate.* Teamwork: At an early stage company, the product is most certainly not feature complete; there are gaps that customers/partners will ask for. You need to be able to work cross-functionally to understand the customers, identify feature gaps, and work to prioritize them.* Passion for efficiency tools* Excitement around our industry (Spacecraft, Launch Vehicles, Transportation, etc.)* Good communicator with outstanding oral and written communication skills* Ability to work cross-culturally/cross-functionally* Ability to deal with and thrive in the ambiguity and chaos that comes with a fast-growing early stage startup* Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus)* Bachelor’s degree* Self-starter and able to assess rapidly evolving priorities* Strong team player with great communication skills and collaborative work ethic* Love of learning (technical and otherwise)* US Citizenship and/or Permanent Residency (future security clearance may be required)Preferred Qualifications

About Emi Labs
At Emi Labs (YC '19) we are on a mission to increase frontline workers' access to professional opportunities by building the infrastructure for Frontline Workers (check our manifesto here: https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/our-manifesto-building-infrastructure-frontline-workers-emi-labs/). As our first step, we are transforming the high-volume recruiting process of Frontline Workers to make it as simple, human, and fair as possible for both Candidates and Recruiters. Our product is a SaaS recruitment platform powered by AI that helps companies engage with candidates via text to drive faster and more efficient hiring processes. We are growing fast, well funded, and obsessed with making our mission a reality.
Some of their customers include Walmart, Burger King, Starbucks, 7-Eleven, Danone, Imperfect Foods, or Heineken.
About the role
At Emi Labs we are on a mission to increase Frontline Workers’ access to professional opportunities.
This is a 2.7 billion population that accounts for 80% of the world’s workforce. They are digitally invisible, as there’s little to no data available on who they are, their career history, or their skill set, limiting their access to professional opportunities and growth. We're here to transform this by building the infrastructure to make Frontline Workers visible.
Our first step to achieving our mission is to transform the recruiting experience into an easy, human and fair process, for both candidates and companies with high-volume job openings. Emi, our main product, is an A.I. recruitment assistant that enables companies to engage in a conversation with each applicant to detect interested and qualified iniduals while saving Recruiters a huge amount of time by automating tasks such as screening, validating skills, scheduling interviews, and collecting documents.
We were part of Y-Combinator's Winter 2019 batch and in 2022 we have raised an $11M funding round co-led by Merus Capital and Khosla Ventures.
What you'll be doing
We’re looking for a Product Marketing Lead to join an early marketing team and have an impact on a category-defining company, backed by some of the best investors in Silicon Valley. This position will report to our Head of Marketing and will shape our go-to-market process: ensuring that prospective and existing business customers understand our solutions, how they’re differentiated from the competition, and how we will drive value in their recruiting process.
The ideal candidate enjoys market research and speaking to customers. You are a strategic thinker, skilled storyteller, and expert influencer with the demonstrated ability to work closely with multiple teams to generate strong outcomes. Within this scope, the role will lead product positioning and messaging initiatives, identify insight-driven product opportunities, and set the strategy for campaigns across the customer lifecycle. This is a unique opportunity to build out the product marketing organization and grow it.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with a range of cross-functional teams to develop go-to-market strategy and oversee product launches and releases.
- Help identify target markets, refine our ICP and user segments for Emi's use cases and solutions.
- Become an expert on our customers – define who our champions and buyers are, what they care about, and where to find them.
- Craft compelling positioning, messaging, and collateral that is informed by market research, competitive insights, and customer feedback.
- Create high-impact enablement materials for our sales and success teams, including case studies, pitch decks, battlecards, one-pagers, product training, etc.
- Collaborate closely with the entire marketing team to create compelling offers for our target audience, including landing pages, help content, video explainers, etc.
What we're looking for
- 6+ years of experience in product marketing, content marketing, or similar in a high growth B2B SaaS environment.
- Track record of leading coordinated, cross-functional campaigns from end to end.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and visual communication and presentation skills.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, start-up environment with an ability to stretch from strategic thinking to the details of execution.
- You are excited about the industry and our mission of increasing frontline workers' access to job opportunities.
For this opportunity we're looking for someone based in the US but, we would also consider roles with matching experience in other countries in LATAM.
Emi Labs is committed to fostering a fair, inclusive, and equal work environment. We believe ersity is crucial to building the best team and solving Frontline Worker's access to professional opportunities, that is why Emi aims to be a leader in workplace equality and move both our company and the industry forward.

Over time we plan to introduce new products to serve our customers that leverage the network of counterparties and payments we already process and track. Examples of such products include fraud detection and counterparty risk management. We must do this while preserving customer privacy and segregating data between customers.
We are primarily operating in the United States today, but we do have customers who use our product in overseas markets such as the EU, UK, Canada, and Australia. We may begin to go to market in some other countries at the end of 2022 or early 2023. In order to support global expansion, both for US-based and foreign customers, we must ensure we are appropriately compliant with global data and privacy regulations. This person should be able to create a roadmap for global data storage and compliance.
These are some of the things we’d look for in a person that would be a good fit:
*
Has built a similar core platform for a company that served consumers or businesses at a massive scale. Ideally this platform was leveraged for fraud detection or other hosted data management solutions as well\*
Has a strong stance towards minimal data collection and usage in the products they build. Has built systems where internal and external users are able to address business needs with only as little data as is needed to provide the service\*
Has defined data privacy and protection policies adhering to various compliance requirements for large scale products, ideally payments products. Has built products that are transparent about data collection and usage while providing controls and accountability features to customers in a simple and usable manner\*
Has a keen end-to-end understanding of the different data sets — business critical, sensitive and other types of data collected during the lifecycle of a product. Has defined product-level guarantees by providing methods for understanding data sets via labeling or annotations, and implementing data segregation, propagation constraints, access controls, retention, deletion, and auditing features\*
Has experience with encryption, obfuscation, tokenization and related methodologies that may be used to protect classes of sensitive data. Has built data pipelines to provide anonymization and aggregation of data that feeds into business analytics tools and services\*
Has knowledge of global data requirements such as GDPR, CCPA, and India's data storage requirements. Ideally this person is also plugged into the ecosystem and has an opinion or sense on future changes as well.\*
Is an experienced PM and has excellent verbal and written communication, collaboration and prioritization skills\ABOUT MODERN TREASURY

We believe that payment operations is at the core of every business. We’re a lean team and we work hard to build outstanding products for our customers. When we succeed, our customers grow.
