About the role:

Nomos was created by Logos to be the infrastructure facilitating the creation of network states and enabling people to easily interact with them. Using Nomos, network states are implemented as lightweight blockchains known as Zones, with an underlying chain providing consensus, security, and interoperability. Importantly, network states implemented on Nomos allow for social order to emerge and govern their operations, all while preserving critical properties that guarantee inidual freedoms for all participants. Responsibilities: 

• Implement and optimise decentralised P2P protocols for network infrastructure
• Build production-level P2P network components based on technical specifications
• Develop proof-of-concepts for peer-to-peer communication layers
• Engineer resilient distributed systems for Byzantine fault-tolerant environments
• Analyse and optimise real-world P2P network performance (latency, throughput, node scalability)

The Role

Nomos requires a specialized role to bring in-depth knowledge and experience with ZK proofs and related tools and frameworks. This expertise will facilitate expedited prototyping, research, design of the proving system, and help in developing ZK-friendly solutions for the requirements of multiple components of the Nomos blockchain. The constant flux of tasks, varying in size and scope, requires a team member who can seamlessly integrate into the team and contribute immediately.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop an in-depth understanding of the multi-layered architecture of Nomos and how Zero Knowledge proofs can be effectively utilized at various stages.

Compensation

• 2+ years of experience in engineering at a software organization. This can include multiple internships, what we want to see is your familiarity with engineering best practices (sprints, code review, etc.) and a level of professionalism.
