About Plasma
Plasma is a purpose built blockchain for stablecoin payments, engineered for scale, speed, and security. We rebuilt the stack from first principles to support the next generation of real financial applications.
The network is fast, reliable, and fully EVM compatible using Reth as the execution layer. We created PlasmaBFT, our own high performance consensus protocol, and reached the cost efficiency and predictability required for real economic activity at scale.
We believe stablecoins will reshape global finance and expand access to a more open financial system. But they need purpose built infrastructure that reflects how stablecoins move, settle, and operate. That is what we are building.
We are redefining how money moves.
Team Culture
At Plasma, you join a team that is rewriting how the world interacts with money. We hire people who are relentless about their craft and expect that same standard from everyone around them.
This is where you will do the hardest and most meaningful work of your career. We work with trust, clarity, and ambition. Everyone owns their craft, moves with urgency, and contributes beyond their lane. We back each other, we debate hard, and we hold a high bar for what great looks like.
Plasma is built for people who thrive on challenge and want to leave a mark.
We are looking for a Senior DevOps engineer to build and maintain the infrastructure supporting the next-generation blockchain for stablecoins. You will work closely with 4 of our wonderful DevOps engineers, valuing technical ambition and ownership.
What you will do
- Own the reliability roadmap: lead the architectural evolution of our production systems toward higher availability, graceful degradation, and predictable failure recovery.
- Redesign for resilience: identify brittleness in existing infrastructure and drive systematic improvements, such as chaos engineering, redundancy patterns, and blast-radius reduction.
- Elevate observability: transform our monitoring from system health to risk awareness, ensuring we catch issues before they escalate to incidents.
- Strengthen operational rigour: improve our runbooks, incident response protocols, and post-mortem practices to compound reliability gains over time.
- Mentor and uplift the team: share hard-won lessons from operating at scale, raise the collective bar, and nurture a culture of ownership.
- Partner across engineering: work with protocol, client, and backend teams to bake reliability in at the design phase.
Who you are
- You have 10+ years of operating distributed systems at scale, ideally at companies where uptime was existential: big tech, HFT, exchanges, or blockchain infrastructure.
- You bring system design depth: you’ve architected platforms for fault tolerance, not just deployed them, and can articulate trade-offs across availability, consistency, and latency.
- You have a battle-tested intuition for failure: you know what breaks under load, under partition, under adversarial conditions, and you design accordingly.
- You are fluent in Kubernetes, Terraform, and cloud infrastructure, but you think in terms of architecture, not just tooling.
- You’ve led reliability transformations before, taking production systems from “good enough” to “financial-grade.”
- You lead through influence, not authority; you elevate teams without diminishing the work that came before.
Nice to have
- Production blockchain experience: running L1/L2 infrastructure, validator operations, or RPC networks at scale.
- Background in HFT, trading systems, or fintech where latency and uptime directly impact P&L.
- Experience with formal SRE practices: error budgets, SLOs, capacity planning, and incident management at scale.
- Familiarity with Rust-based systems, consensus protocols, or indexing infrastructure.
- Track record of building reliability culture: not just systems, but the practices and mindsets that sustain them.
What’s in it for you
At Plasma, we give you the environment and tools to do the best work of your life.
- Above market salary plus token compensation.
- Premium health insurance for you and your family fully covered by Plasma.
- Monthly wellness budget, whether for the gym, therapy, sauna & massage.
- A beautiful London HQ with gym access and daily food, for those who thrive in an office environment.
- All the tools and tech you need to operate at your best.
- Visa sponsorship and relocation support if you are joining the London office from abroad.

Work Where It's Best for You
Work Anywhere means you can work in an office or at home on any given day. It's about getting the work done in the way and place that works best for each person. This applies across all locations and departments.
Work Anywhere does not mean work at any time. We have predictable core hours where employees are generally available for meetings and collaboration. Employees are focused and available during core hours.
We invest in our offices to make them places where our employees like to go. If you work in the office three or more days a week, you will have a dedicated office workspace. Our offices function as hubs to draw people in, create social bonds, and where random connections and mixing of ideas happen. We're investing more in offices, culture, and offsite meetings, not less.
Product teams are organized in regional product hubs for optimal collaboration and live within a time zone of their hub. Our current product hubs are located in Pleasanton, Columbus, Boston, Kansas City, New York City, Raleigh, and Toronto. We create opportunities for teams to get together in person regularly.
Customer-facing roles, such as Sales and Professional Services, live near and/or travel to their customers.
When an employee moves within a country it does not cause a change in salary. Where you live impacts you and your family. Not knowing if your compensation will change if you move can cause stress and uncertainty for everyone. We wanted to eliminate that.
Work at Veeva. Work where it's best for you.

Staff Engineer
Location: San Francisco Bay Area (Remote), United States
Job Description:
Type: FTE
Salary Range: $180,000-200,000 + equity
About the role
We’re building a modern, browser-based media creation suite designed for rapid iteration in an AI-driven world. This is a startup environment: small team, high ownership, fast shipping, and shifting paradigms. We’re looking for a hands-on Staff Engineer who’s excited to be deep in the codebase every day, delivering features end-to-end and materially improving how the system is built.
You’ll bring strong technical judgment and a point of view, and you’ll influence through execution: writing great code, making pragmatic tradeoffs, and helping the team move faster together.
Where we’re headed
We’re building a film creation suite grounded in real creative workflows and amplified by AI. We’re starting with tools that support pre-production and production, and we’re excited to expand into post and transmedia over time. This isn’t “a video editor in the browser” or a generative slot machine. It’s an IP creation engine: creator-led, fast, and built to meet creatives where they already work, without slowing them down. This isn’t a single-tool workflow like Photoshop, or a prompt-first UI like ComfyUI. It’s an output-driven media creation suite built to scale IP and to help teams produce Wonder-level content.
Our products are output-focused (each one ships something specific), but they share a unified toolkit and UI system across the stack to reduce onboarding, keep workflows consistent, and make iteration faster. As we grow, we’ll plug in more tools, models, and technologies, including 3D and game-dev ecosystems, to give creatives real leverage.
What you’ll do
- Ship end-to-end features across our Next.js frontend and Python API backend.
- Design and build systems for media creation: asset ingestion, processing, preview generation, rendering/export, and AI-assisted workflows.
- Own technical outcomes: take ambiguous requirements and turn them into scalable, maintainable implementations.
- Bring 3D/game-dev tooling thinking into the product: scene/asset graphs, deterministic pipelines, versioning, caching, reproducibility, and performance-aware workflows.
- Improve reliability and velocity: refactors, testing strategy, CI/CD, observability, performance, cost controls, and operational readiness.
- Raise the engineering bar through mentorship and reviews—without becoming “meetings-only.”
Our stack
- Frontend: Next.js (React / TypeScript)
- Backend: Python API service (integrations + orchestration across external services/APIs)
- Testing: Vitest (frontend), Pytest (backend)
- Infra/Platforms: GCP, Railway, Vercel
- Integrations/Compute: fal, Modal (and a growing set of AI/media APIs)
- Workflow: Git-based development, modern CI/CD
What we’re looking for
- Senior-to-staff level experience owning production systems end-to-end.
- Strong full-stack capability: you can work comfortably across Next.js + Python APIs, and debug across boundaries.
- Startup mindset: high ownership, high output, low ego, and comfort with ambiguity.
- Strong system design instincts: you can build fast without creating a fragile mess.
- Excellent collaboration: clear communicator, strong reviewer, productive partner to product/design.
- We’re optimizing for people who’ve shipped creative tooling at scale (not primarily genAI experimentation).
Table-stakes for this role
- Strong familiarity with industry-standard media creation tools and workflows. You understand how professional teams build, manage, and ship content across pre/pro/post.
- Experience designing and supporting media pipelines end-to-end (assets, timelines/projects, processing, preview/render/export), with an instinct for reliability, performance, and iteration speed.
- Comfort working in the “messy middle” between creative UX and engineering constraints: formats/codecs, storage, caching, background jobs, and scaling production workflows.
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with 3D and game-dev-adjacent concepts (scene/asset graphs, rendering constraints, asset versioning/caching, performance-minded workflows).
- You don’t need to be an Unreal/Blender power user - just comfortable with how those ecosystems work and how teams build around them.
Strongly preferred
- Experience at companies like Adobe, CapCut/ByteDance, Canva, or other creation tooling orgs.
- Experience building media-heavy products (video/photo/audio editors, asset management, render/export pipelines).
- Experience orchestrating external APIs and compute services (async pipelines, retries, idempotency, cost/perf tradeoffs).Comfort with browser constraints for heavy workflows (large state, complex UI, performance profiling, memory awareness).
What success looks like
- First 30 days: shipping meaningful PRs, learning the product quickly, improving a foundational area (DX, tests, performance, reliability).
- First 60 days: owning a significant feature or system improvement end-to-end.
- First 90 days: establishing technical direction in 1–2 major areas (media pipeline, asset/project architecture, transmedia/3D integration patterns) while continuing to ship.
How we work
- We move fast and iterate, but we care about building systems that stay fast.
- We value people who are opinionated and flexible: decisive when needed, adaptable when reality changes.
- This is not a “delegation-only” Staff role. We want someone hands-on, writing code, reviewing PRs, and unblocking the team.

- Manage inidual priorities and deadlines while maintaining a high standard of execution.
Required Experience
- 7+ years of professional frontend or full-stack engineering experience building and shipping production web applications.
- Proven experience operating as a staff or principal-level inidual contributor within a collaborative engineering team.
- Experience collaborating closely with Product and Design partners to iterate on UX and balance technical and product tradeoffs.
- Demonstrated ability to take loosely defined product requirements and turn them into high-quality, production-ready solutions.
- A track record of improving code quality, developer experience, or frontend practices through example and influence rather than authority.
- Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and managing inidual priorities without heavy process or oversight.
- Experience working with performance, reliability, and maintainability concerns in large or evolving frontend codebases.
- Advanced proficiency in TypeScript, React, HTML, and CSS, with a track record of building complex, user-facing features.
- Strong proficiency with CSS Modules and component-scoped styling approaches.
- Experience with modern state management patterns using React Query for server state and Zustand for client state.
- Strong experience designing and implementing responsive, accessible interfaces that follow modern UX and accessibility standards.
- Experience with monorepo tooling and workflows (Turborepo, Nx, or similar) and managing dependencies across multiple frontend packages.
- Hands-on experience writing and maintaining unit, integration, and end-to-end tests (e.g., Playwright, Vitest, React Testing Library).
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs, with understanding of API design best practices and error handling patterns.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, and deployment automation.
- Experience with Docker, infrastructure tooling, and DevOps practices is highly valued.
- Familiarity with modern development workflows and tooling, including Git, Linux-based environments, and containers.
Bonus Points
- Comfortable working across the full stack when needed—familiarity with backend concepts, databases, and API development is a plus.
- Working knowledge of Go and experience with Go, Docker, Kubernetes and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus.

- Build the technical backbone of our GTM motion and influence the product at an early stage
- Partner directly with the CPO, CTO, and Sales leadership
- Help create a category-defining platform transforming how manufacturers sell, support, and innovate
- Competitive compensation, meaningful equity, and employer-paid benefits
- Flexible PTO and access to the latest AI tools
- A values-driven culture that rewards ownership, curiosity, and velocity

About the Team/Role
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join our NAM Experiences team. The NAM Experiences team is responsible for the portal into WEX's self service applications. These applications power essential features, from digital spend controls to real-time transaction insights.
This role requires a strong background in front-end development, with exposure to the full stack. As the leader of an engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing intuitive, performant web applications that integrate with our backend services to deliver seamless and enhanced customer experiences. Our platforms are crucial for our customers, enabling them to manage their fleet costs in an easy and efficient manner. The primary focus of this role is building robust, reusable and responsive user interfaces that empower fleet managers to configure controls, view reports, and streamline their daily operations.
How you'll make an impact:
Define, own, and execute the long-term vision and strategy for the North American Mobility (NAM) Experience, encompassing card and vehicle management, and mobility payments (card issuance, controls, lifecycle, transactions).
Serve as a hands-on technical leader, specifically owning and implementing the systems designs for the UI platform.
Develop and maintain the architectural roadmap for the NAM experience, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry best practices.
Champion a culture of innovation, continuous learning, collaboration, and empowerment within the team.
Continuously challenge current processes to reduce time-to-market by adopting proper engineering approaches.
Drive and execute cross-team engineering projects as the single-threaded owner (STO).
Collaborate closely with product, UX, and commercial partners to prioritize work and develop a modern UI, working backward from customer requirements.
Enforce clear, metrics-driven measurements for developer productivity across the NAM Experience team.
Run effective weekly and monthly mechanisms for planning, executing, and auditing workstreams.
Partner with product and commercial leads to maintain a robust roadmap and define clear, interdependent OKRs.
Collaborate with other Mobility engineering teams to promote the reuse of development practices and components, minimizing duplication of effort.
Hire, lead, manage, retain, and grow high-performance software engineers.
Utilize active career growth planning, providing monthly and quarterly feedback for iniduals' continual progress.
Maintain a detailed, granular resource map showing developers and their month-over-month work streams.
Comfortably present, influence, and communicate with the senior leadership team.
Provide regular updates and insights to your manager regarding challenges and opportunities within the Mobility domain.
Experience you'll bring:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
6+ years in software engineering experience, including 2+ years in an engineering management role, leading frontend/UI engineering teams.
Strong hands-on background building and scaling modern web applications using frameworks such as Angular, or React, with experience owning UI architecture at scale.
Proven experience driving engineering excellence in frontend systems, including performance optimization, accessibility (WCAG), reliability, and cross-browser compatibility.
Demonstrated ability to establish and enforce testing strategies for UI systems (unit, integration, and end-to-end testing) and improve CI/CD pipelines for frontend delivery.
Experience partnering with Product, Design, and Backend teams to translate product vision into scalable and maintainable UI solutions.
Solid understanding of security, privacy, and compliance considerations relevant to web applications (e.g., authentication, authorization, data protection).
Familiarity with leveraging developer productivity tools, including automation and AI-assisted development, to improve code quality, velocity, and consistency.
Strong people leadership skills, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and career development for frontend engineers.
Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments, make informed trade-offs, and lead teams through change in a fast-paced organization.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and clearly articulate technical and non-technical concepts.
Exposure to analytics tools to track customers journeys between applications and how to convert the insights into features.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience building high-performance distributed systems at internet-scale companies.
Strong understanding of modern front-end frameworks and tooling in a micro-frontend environment.
Experience building credit card products, or experience developing solutions in a scheme/network.
Experience working on closed-loop card systems.
