The Knot Worldwide is looking for a highly motivated, full-stack Senior Software Engineer with a passion for delivering value to the business, while helping to ensure that engineering best practices are adopted and followed. You will be responsible for providing technical expertise and mentorship to the team—working on complex and challenging user problems alongside other driven and talented engineers.

This role will be focused on the primary Registry shopping experience and the backend services and APIs that power it. Our all-in-one registry solution is used by millions of couples and their guests to make registry building and gift shopping simple, easy, and fun.  We offer everything from cash funds to products in our own store, ensuring that every couple can use The Knot to celebrate their big day with their friends and family.  

We work in small, agile teams that move fast, so you will be building and owning all aspects of systems end-to-end, including infrastructure, data, APIs, and web apps.  As a member of this team, you’ll be actively involved in implementing and delivering new features and services in an iterative, agile fashion.  You'll be working with our product and design teams at all stages of the SDLC to ensure we’re producing the very best experience for our users, as well as supporting critical business objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Work independently and as a senior member of a cross-disciplinary feature squad

SUCCESSFUL SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEERING CANDIDATES HAVE:

• 5+ years overall engineering experience
• 4+ years hands-on proven track record implementing JavaScript/Typescript applications.
• 4+ years of experience using React to build complex frontend applications; Next.js experience is a plus.
• 4+ years of experience using Node.js or similar technology.
• Experience with enterprise database, caching, and search solutions (PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Redis)

We're looking for a founding full-stack engineer who is passionate about their hobbies -- whether it be Warhammer, Magic: The Gathering, mechanical keyboards, fountain pens, you name it.

We have an opinionated tech stack: deep use of PostgreSQL (composite types, functions, etc), Rust for our monolith, and HTMX with modern vanilla JS/CSS. Our mentality is to extract the utmost value we can get out of these technologies before introducing additional infrastructure and frameworks. You won’t be dealing with ORMs, npm, React, etc.

You should have familiarity with our stack, but prior professional Rust and HTMX experience is not a requirement. If you're excited to learn, and you're passionate about what we're building, that's enough for us.

Mission of the role

A Technical Customer Success Manager guides customers through the adoption of Distributed Validators, through to the ongoing oversight of their stake’s performance and security.

Rather than functioning as customer support agents, CSMs form a direct relationship with customers and provide them with timely value propositions, products, and features, to get the most benefits and rewards from adopting Obol technologies to improve their staking setups.

In this case, the mission of the role is to manage relationships between ETH Capital Allocators and their staking operators.

This helps customers grow and achieve goals while simultaneously strengthening their relationship with the business.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for key technical stakeholders, coordinating internal resources to ensure their success with Obol.
• Lead the full node operator journey post-partnership, including onboarding, deployment optimisation, and ongoing distributed validator management.
• Educate customers on how to effectively use Obol’s software, providing technical guidance and reference implementations, answering questions (including in Discord), and ensuring optimal staking setup and performance.
• Understand customer needs deeply and communicate recurring feedback, behaviors, and requirements to internal teams (product, marketing, business, legal).
