Location: Remote
Department: Engineering
Job Description:
Kit is an email-first operating system for creators who mean business. We help creators grow and monetize their audience with ease. For coaches, YouTubers, authors, podcasters, and other creatives, there isn't a better marketing hub to rely on to grow audiences, automate email marketing, and sell digital products — all within one platform.
More importantly, there isn't a team more committed to helping creators earn a living. We're on a mission to help creators earn $1 billion using our creator marketing platform. We have always been 100% independent and 100% remote.
We are proud to have built a product that our customers love, and we look for people who have enthusiasm and belief in our mission, vision, and values to join our team. We're also embracing AI thoughtfully — both in how we build and how we hire to ensure our team is adaptable, innovative, and ready for what's next.
The role
We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to build Kit’s core publishing platform and creator growth experiences.
You will be joining the Builders team, which builds the suite of publishing tools creators use to create emails, landing pages, and newsletters. Our team is responsible for creators' first experiences in the app, from onboarding, to activation, and conversion. And we steward Kit’s core application experience and design system.
This is a hands-on role for a product-minded full-stack engineer who excels at crafting exceptional user experiences. You'll architect complex features across the stack while collaborating closely with Product and Design to deliver impactful solutions that elevate how creators experience our publishing platform.

You'll report to the Engineering Manager who leads the Builders team, a cross-functional product team at Kit. You'll collaborate closely with a Product Manager, Product Designer, and peer Software Engineers.
You’ll also have access to a group of Engineers across Kit for support and mentorship, and will start with a peer onboarding buddy who will help you navigate our systems and codebase.
What you'll do
First Week: Dive into our codebase and publishing platform architecture. Set up your local environment and merge your first production code. Take part in Get To Know You's to meet our distributed team.
First Month: Work through your personal onboarding plan. Begin understanding how our publishing tools support creators from onboarding to conversion, and identify opportunities for improvement. Join team activities for planning, building, and measuring the experiences we ship to creators. Actively participate in code reviews, and contribute PRs weekly.
First Six Months: Own and deliver at least one complex feature from concept to launch. Improve our codebase through thoughtful refactoring while maintaining quality standards. Ensure service reliability by participating in on-call rotations. Present at least one Lunch & Learn session. Proactively identify and act on opportunities to improve our product and development processes.
What will S.E.T. you up for success
Skills
Expertise developing complex web applications with high-craft beautiful user experiences, using React, JavaScript, and modern CSS frameworks like tailwind
Expertise with Ruby on Rails (preferred). Or experience with other backend frameworks with willingness to learn and master Rails. You’re a strong contributor across the stack, from the browser to the database
Ability to plan, estimate, and execute complex ambiguous projects independently while keeping stakeholders informed
Ability to write high-quality, well-tested, performant, and accessible code with minimal guidance
Clear communication skills with ability to drive clarity with Engineers, Product Managers, and Designers

The Role
We need a Senior Engineer who has built and shipped perpetual trading systems that handled real volume. You’ll be in charge of our perpetuals infrastructure, integrate with our Smart Shielded Pools, and ensure we deliver near-CEX execution quality on-chain.
Non-Negotiable Requirements
- 5+ years production Rust and Solidity experience
- Built and deployed a perpetuals trading system that processed >$100M volume or >10k daily active traders
- Deep DeFi primitives knowledge: AMMs, oracles, liquidation engines, margin systems, funding rates
- Can point to mainnet contracts you’ve written that are still running
- Experience with high-frequency price feeds and MEV-resistant architecture
What You’ll Own
- Perpetuals engine architecture
- Oracle integration and price feed aggregation
- Liquidation mechanisms and risk parameters
- Gas optimization to compete with CEX fees
- Integration with our existing Smart Shielded Pools
- Security review preparation and audit remediation
Reality Check
- This is a startup. Small team. You’ll write code, not manage people.
- We ship fast and fix forward. Perfect is the enemy of launched.
- You’ll be engineer #9. If you need structure or process, this isn’t for you.
Why This Matters
We’re building capital-protected trading on Base. LPs get 25-40% APR in USDC. Traders get CEX-quality execution. This only works if our perpetuals infrastructure is bulletproof. Your code will handle millions in TVL within 6 months of launch.
Application
Send:
- GitHub with your perpetuals/DeFi contracts
- Which perps platform you built and its peak daily volume
- Your thesis on why current on-chain perps implementations fail
No cover letters. No resumes without code. No “DeFi enthusiasts” who’ve never shipped to mainnet.

Vetcove is a Y Combinator and venture-backed growth stage company with notable investors in Silicon Valley and NYC. We're looking for exceptionally talented and passionate people to join our growing team.
What we are looking for:
We believe there are a couple traits that will make you perfect for this role:
You have an extraordinary attention to detail. Every pixel matters to you.

Design-forward mindset — you stay curious about emerging UI patterns, animation techniques, and interaction trends.
A passion for pets is always a big plus, but certainly not required!
Someone who is comfortable working in a fully remote environment!
What you’ll do:
Collaborate closely with product designers in designing new features
Bring Figma designs to life by implementing modular, reusable React components
Implement interactions using highly flexible and performant CSS code
Experiment with animations and micro-interactions that are best prototyped through code
Work closely with the front end engineering team to bridge front end logic with design
You should have:
BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
At least 3 years of professional frontend or software engineering experience, including meaningful work on a production-scale React application and hands-on use of modern React features such as hooks, context, and component composition. Experience collaborating with product designers is also important.
Experience turning Figma designs into clean, accurate, and production-ready UI. This includes building modular and reusable component patterns, ensuring pixel-level precision, and implementing responsive layouts that adapt across screen sizes.
Strong CSS skills with a track record of building complex UI interactions using CSS animations, transitions, layout systems, and performance-oriented styling practices. Experience contributing to or working within a component library or design system is a plus.
Solid understanding of modern JavaScript fundamentals, including asynchronous patterns, core language concepts, and best practices for structuring React components and managing state.
Familiarity with practical accessibility standards, such as semantic HTML, keyboard navigation support, ARIA usage, motion/animation considerations, and color/contrast basics.
Examples of previous work—such as a portfolio, GitHub repository, component library, or code samples—that demonstrate your approach to UI development, attention to detail, and proficiency with React and CSS.

The role
We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to build the data visualization and analytics experiences that help creators understand and grow their businesses.
You will be joining the Reporting & Compliance team, which is responsible for providing in‑app business analytics to our creators. We build the tools that give creators powerful, actionable insights into their audience engagement, subscriber behavior, revenue trends, and campaign performance. Our team owns the full reporting and analytics experience — from the data infrastructure powering insights to the beautiful, intuitive interfaces that surface them.
This is a hands‑on role for a product‑minded engineer who excels at crafting exceptional data visualization and user experiences. While this position is more front‑end focused, you’ll work across the full stack — from React and modern design systems to our Rails backend and ClickHouse data layer — to deliver insights that help creators make better decisions. We’re looking for someone with strong front‑end expertise who has the aptitude and enthusiasm to learn our backend technologies.
You partner closely with Product and Design to transform complex data into clear, actionable insights. You’ll build elegant data visualizations, architect scalable frontend solutions, and help evolve our legacy codebase while bringing modern approaches to component design and performance optimization.
Your support system
You’ll report to the Engineering Manager who leads the Reporting team, a cross‑functional product team at Kit. You’ll collaborate closely with a Product Manager, Product Designer, and peer Software Engineers.
You’ll also have access to a group of Engineers across Kit for support and mentorship, and will start with a peer onboarding buddy who will help you navigate our systems and codebase.
What you'll do
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will:
First Week: Dive into our codebase and reporting platform architecture. Set up your local environment and merge your first production code. Take part in Get To Know You’s (GTKYs) to meet our distributed team.
First Month: Work through your personal onboarding plan. Begin understanding how our reporting functionality supports creators in gaining insights into their businesses, and identify opportunities for improvement. Learn how our systems — from the ClickHouse data layer to our Rails backend and React frontend — work together to deliver reporting experiences. Join team activities for planning, building, and measuring the experiences we ship to creators. Actively participate in code reviews, and contribute PRs weekly.
First Six Months: Own and deliver at least one complex feature from concept to launch. You’ll measure success not just by code shipped, but by improvements in report accuracy, load time, and creator engagement with analytics. Improve our codebase through thoughtful refactoring while maintaining quality standards. Present at least one Lunch & Learn session. Proactively identify and act on opportunities to improve our product and development processes.
What will S.E.T. you up for success
Skills

Ability to write high‑quality, well‑tested, maintainable, and accessible code with minimal guidance
Excellent communication and collaboration skills for driving clarity and alignment across Engineering, Product, and Design
Experience with backend frameworks (we work with Ruby on Rails) with willingness to learn Rails. You’re comfortable working across the stack, even if frontend is your strength
Experiences
Partnering effectively with Product and Design to create exceptional data visualization and analytics experiences that drive creator insight and engagement
Working across a legacy codebase and evolving it safely through migrations, refactors, and modernization of frontend components
Building data‑driven features and analytics experiences that directly impact how users understand their business
Planning, estimating, and executing complex projects independently while keeping stakeholders informed

Kit has standardized salaries based on position, no matter where you live. Level is determined based on experience and our interview process.
For more on our approach to compensation, see this post from our CEO, Nathan Barry.
OverviewApplication
The role
We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer II to build Kit’s core publishing platform and creator growth experiences.
You will be joining the Builders team, which builds the suite of publishing tools creators use to create emails, landing pages, and newsletters. Our team is responsible for creators' first experiences in the app, from onboarding, to activation, and conversion. And we steward Kit’s core application experience and design system.
You're a frontend expert who thinks full-stack. Modern frontend React development should be your superpower. You're obsessed with crafting exceptional user experiences and have shaped React architectures at scale. But you don't stop at the browser: you architect end-to-end features from database to deployment. You'll help us raise the bar for how creators experience our publishing platform by combining your frontend mastery with full-stack execution.
You combine technical depth with leadership and extreme ownership. You partner closely with Product and Design to shape the “what” as well as the “how.” You thrive in ambiguity, take initiative, and elevate the people around you.
Your support system
You'll report to the Engineering Manager who leads the Builders team, a cross-functional product team at Kit. You'll collaborate closely with a Product Manager, Product Designer, and peer Software Engineers.
You’ll also have access to a group of Engineers across Kit for support and mentorship, and will start with a peer onboarding buddy who will help you navigate our systems and codebase.
What you'll do
As a Senior Software Engineer II, you will:
First Week: Dive into our codebase and publishing platform architecture. Set up your local environment and merge your first production code. Take part in Get To Know You's to meet our distributed team.
First Month: Work through your personal onboarding plan. Begin understanding how our publishing tools support creators from onboarding to conversion, and identify opportunities for improvement. Join team activities for planning, building, and measuring the experiences we ship to creators. Actively participate in code reviews, and contribute PRs weekly.
First Six Months: Lead and architect at least one major feature from ambiguous idea to launch. Transform our legacy codebase through strategic refactoring while applying systems thinking to enhance scalability and maintainability. Drive adoption of patterns and conventions that elevate team-wide technical standards. Ensure service reliability by participating in on-call rotations. Present at least one Lunch & Learn session. Actively mentor peers, and champion quality across our codebase.
What will S.E.T. you up for success
Skills
Deep expertise developing high-craft web applications, with a strong background in React, JavaScript, and modern CSS frameworks like tailwind
Experience with Ruby on Rails (preferred). Or experience with other backend frameworks and languages, with willingness to learn and master Ruby on Rails
Ability to architect systems that are well-designed, scalable, accessible, and easy to maintain, with a solid understanding of frontend testing practices
Proven ability to partner effectively with Product and Design to create delightful experiences, prioritizing user outcomes and business impact in your technical solutions
Clear and concise communication skills, tailoring messages to the audience and driving clarity across teams
Experiences
Acting as a frontend subject-matter expert, helping teams adopt modern frontend frameworks, patterns, and tradeoff decisions
Building complex web components, such as visual canvases or rich text editors
Leading complex technical projects from ambiguous ideation to launch and iteration beyond, taking extreme ownership to drive clarity, anticipate risks, and prioritize the biggest impact
Working across a legacy codebase and evolving it safely through migrations and system refactors
Championing solutions that have demonstrated large positive impact across teams
Traits
High agency and ability to work independently while collaborating closely with teammates
Adaptability within a dynamic and ambiguous environment, with proactive ownership of problems
Strong interest in AI and eagerness to experiment with the evolving landscape to make our work more efficient and effective
Openness to direct feedback and continuous improvement, with ability to shape team culture through empathetic feedback and mentoring
Embraces learning with growth mindset and a demonstrated ability to build new skills quickly and model this for others
Nice to haves
You will stand out with:
Experience writing email-safe HTML and CSS
Experience building design systems and component libraries
Proficiency with frontend bundling and development tools
Experience shipping user-facing AI features
Background in creator economy or publishing platform
Working hours and location:
We're 100% remote with team members across the globe. We work mostly on East Coast time—so if you're based on the West Cost of the United States, Europe, or Asia, you might have a few early mornings or late evenings. We do our best to keep things reasonable, but a little time zone juggling comes with the territory. The core collaboration hours for this team are 10:45am to 2pm Eastern Time. We promote flexible work outside these core hours.
