RESPONSIBILITIES

The Property & Casualty Systems Leader is responsible for translating business needs into actionable system solutions that support scalable, consistent workflows across our Property & Casualty operations. This role serves as a critical connector between business leaders, field users, and technology teams, helping define, prioritize, and deliver enhancements within the AMS and adjacent tools (e.g., CRM, client portals, quoting systems).

This role focuses on ensuring that system capabilities align with evolving operational needs, driving efficiency and user satisfaction across the organization.

• Manage the product implementation for AMS and integrated platforms, including intake, prioritization, and refinement of requests
• Translate business requirements into user experience, acceptance criteria, and minimum viable product definitions in collaboration with key stakeholders
• Partner with internal and external teams (e.g., Field offices, Shared Services, IT, AMS vendor partners) to support delivery and testing of system enhancements and fixes
• Support platform governance efforts to ensure changes align with enterprise standards and scalable practices
• Work closely with business leaders to analyze existing workflows and identify improvement opportunities within the AMS</li>
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of standardized operating procedures (SOPs) and documentation
• Recommend solutions that enhance productivity and improve user experience while reducing manual effort or duplication
• Act as the voice of the business in technical conversations and projects, ensuring user needs are represented and understood
• Facilitate stakeholder input through field listening sessions, user group discussions, and feedback cycles
• Collaborate with training, communications, and change management teams to support rollout and adoption of system updates
• Define and monitor KPIs related to system usage, adoption, and user satisfaction; leverage findings to inform product decisions
• Participate in UAT and pilot testing to ensure readiness of features and workflows
• Partner with the AMS Training and Operations teams to support new user onboarding and continuous learning

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Insurance, or related field preferred
• 3-5+ years of experience in insurance operations, technology, or systems enablement roles
• Prior experience with an AMS platform (e.g., Applied Epic, AMS360, Benefit Point, Zywave) required; exposure to CRM or quoting systems a plus
• Ability to translate business processes into clear system requirements and experiences
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across business and technical audiences
• Detail-oriented and organized, with a focus on practical execution and user enablement
• Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
• Collaborative and approachable style, able to bridge gaps across teams
• Ability to balance enterprise needs with local business context
• Prior experience in a brokerage, MGA, or insurance consulting environment, preferred
• Familiarity with system transformation, M&A integration, or enterprise system upgrades, preferred
• Insurance operations background strongly preferred

• Provide "hands on" technical and programmatic leadership, vision, strategy, plans and project execution of Plant Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Non- Safety Control (NSC) Balance Of Plant (BOP) Systems.  This scope primarily interface with those related that are boiling water reactor (BWR) specific or steam turbine generator (STG) and its primary auxiliary systems.
• Contribute to resolution of protection, control, and monitoring [i.e.; “C” Systems] related issues within the integrated plant design, specific systems design, and component selection and application within the nuclear island (NI) and steam turbine generator (STG) convention island (CI) with its’ associated balance of plant (BOP) of the Standard Plant Design (SPD) Power Block.

• Provide guidance and manage external engineering resources, both staff augmentation contractors and defined scope sub- contracts, to ensure quality deliverables to aggressive project schedules, enable resource flexibility, access niche skillsets or talents, and improved cost positions.
• Support GVH LEAN initiatives for process improvement and simplification.
• Ensure adherence to GVH standards for integrity, safety, and quality as well as support the Corrective Action Program (CAP) with condition reports and Chief Engineers Office (CEO) with technical reviews.
• Protect GVH Intellectual Property (IP) and trade secret knowhow.
• Partner with business leadership to support preparation of product and technology development strategies, plans, roadmaps, risks mitigations, and associated recommendations.
• Support GVH business with new marketing, bid proposal development, and commercial project opportunities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or related Science or technical discipline.
• 15 years of progressive experience in engineering design and/or technical project engineering leadership experience.
• 5 years of experience in the nuclear industry or equivalent large scale new build experience in heavy industry facilities, preferably the power industry.

Desired Characteristics

• Licensed Professional Engineer.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Deep knowledge, skill, and experience in the design of control systems design and comprehensive documentation as well as their configuration, and implementation on modern DCS [e.g.; GEV Mark* VIe, Emerson Ovation or DeltaV, Schneider Electric Triconex or Foxporo I/A, Honeywell Experian].

The base pay range for this position is $131,000 to $252,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. The base pay range for this position is $86,000 to $122,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. We are currently seeking a Full-Time Plant Engineer who will be based at and support our Texas City TX, ASU enclave. The Texas City TX ASU enclave consists of the two largest ASU's on LINDE's Houston pipeline network, as well as a standalone nitrogen liquefier and pipeline backup array. The Plant Engineer will be responsible to provide day-to-day technical support with emphasis on plant improvements, process safety, and process consistency. The Integration Technical Lead is responsible for the technical strategy, design, and development of all aspects of application systems integration. The incumbent will provide senior-level, technical leadership for integration design, development, programming, and implementation, with an emphasis on architecting systems for widespread software integration capabilities. The immediate need will be to grow the ORIS integration architecture strategy that supports the integration of in-house developed solutions by the Office of Research Information Service (ORIS), Workday Financials, and other University and vendor systems. Along with the specific need to support Workday integrations, the solutions developed must be long-standing and support a multitude of existing and future administrative systems. This role is foundational and critical to the success of ORIS and University applications, infrastructure, and tools that support the breadth of University research.

The Office of Research's constituency is the entire University, including UW branch campuses, medical centers, 277 research centers, and University partners. Across the breadth of the University, there are many intersections with both central and departmental research administration needs. This position contributes technical systems design and development expertise within a erse team environment that includes participants from a broad range of campus and administrative units including UW-IT and UW Medicine ITS. Successful candidates must interface productively with business analysts, project managers, and other application and infrastructure engineers.

Technical scope requires deep systems knowledge and an ability to quickly learn and understand the policies, functional processes, and procedures of the University. Software complexity in this space ranges from operating system internals to web-based services and applications, database and other persistence mechanisms, and system integrations between differing technologies. ORIS has moved all software application products to AWS, but integrations connect across campus and beyond. The scope of tasks performed span all project phases including design, development, testing, integrating, deploying and operational support.

Strategic Technical Leadership - 35%

• Lead integration engineers (and other ORIS staff) in understanding key concepts, industry best practices, and organizational principles, strategies, and conventions related to integration and software engineering via mentoring, meetings, hands-on learning, code review, and documentation to ensure ORIS products are stable, secure, and sustainable in the cloud; provide functional and non-functional requirements based on these practices

• Collaborate with organization leadership and staff to understand and advise on the strategic direction of integrations that ORIS can identify, understand, and assess risks and opportunities with respect to the products and strategies they maintain and develop

• Develop technical diagrams, roadmaps, and other planning documents to account for the risks and opportunities assessed to be most essential to maximizing the value delivered by integrations (web service and bulk data) for advancing the organization's mission, principles, and strategies; groom and sequence initiatives and epics that advance these approaches

• Turn technology transformation strategy into action in the form of solution and integration design, development, testing, implementation, and support

• Responsible for the accurate documentation for system architectural design and that the documentation is disseminated and understood by staff with varying levels of technical aptitude

• Ensure software development delivery meets ORIS unit goals and objectives including the stability, security, and sustainability of all ORIS products and services

• Provide technical leadership and consultation to the University and client departments as needed

• Assist in building and improving application integrations and component reuse and efficient use of new technologies and policy adherence

The TPM will drive New Product Introduction (NPI) readiness across internal engineering and our contract manufacturer (CM), ensuring our Alpha product is built with the highest design pedigree, data integrity, and quality traceability. What You Bring to the Table:

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Computer Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.

Description of Work

This position is an entry level engineering position located in the Division of Air Quality (DAQ) Fayetteville Regional Office (FRO) and will work in the areas of air quality compliance and permitting. This position requires strong computer skills, excellent customer relation skills, independent judgment, decision-making ability, and adaptability to implement policy and regulatory changes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performs the technical review and processing of minor source permit applications, including the review of engineering drawings, data and specifications, and industrial processes to determine the applicability of state and federal air regulations, air emission parameters, emission limitations, permitting requirements, and compliance status with state and federal air regulations; and determines permit applicability at non-permitted facilities, prepares tax certifications, and provides input to the development of appropriate site-specific permit conditions to ensure that permit limits are enforceable for Title V permits.
• Performs on-site inspections and compliance assurance visits at a variety of industrial facilities (from simple to complex) to determine compliance with State and Federal rules, permit requirements and emission limitations. Must be able to climb ladders, be comfortable with heights, walk long distances and be on feet for long periods of time; and have a good sense of smell, hearing, and sight.
• Evaluates facility submitted air emissions inventory reports and other periodic compliance reports and conducts stack test observations. Must obtain and maintain visible emissions (EPA Method 9) certification in order to perform opacity evaluations.
• Responds to citizen complaints pertaining to open burning, dust, odors and other air quality concerns to determine compliance with State and Federal rules.
• Writes technical reports, general correspondence, compliance letters, enforcement reports, and other technical documents, and serves as an advisor to air quality staff, industry representatives, state and federal agencies, and the general public on issues related to air quality and compliance. Requires effective communication, both verbally and in written form, of technical information.
• A valid North Carolina Driver's License is required. You must be able to obtain within 6 months of hire and maintain for employment.
