About the Role

The Engineering Manager will be responsible for managing a team of 5-10 direct reports (engineers and team leads), as well as growing the Super Dispatch products.

In this role, you’ll be working closely with colleagues across Growth, Operations, Engineering, Data Science, Product, Design, Sales, and Marketing to bring your ideas to life.

Your main responsibility areas include people management, team execution and business value delivery, and technical leadership. As an experienced technical leader, and with the help of tech leads in your team, you will own the technical and process responsibilities within your team.

Your manager will onboard you and will work closely with you through mentorship and coaching. During the onboarding process, together with your manager, you will define what success looks like for you, and together, you will build your 3-6-12-month plan based on that.

We’re looking for Support Engineers in the United States to support our GitHub Enterprise product installed and managed in the customer’s virtualization environment. Your main responsibility will be to work with our customers via web interface, email, phone and chat to solve support tickets. Tickets are usually opened by internal system administrators, and can include investigating load or networking issues, debugging application errors, and discussing feature requests. You’ll also work with our engineering team to prioritize issues and development, and our documentation team to improve customer-facing resources. You don’t need to be a Git expert, but you do need to have technical experience and a passion for helping people. The position reports to an Premium Support Manager and works closely with other teams and leaders across the company.

GitHub works remotely and asynchronously as much as possible. While this role does not require you to live near our office, it will require some travel to meet with co-workers or attend company events.

This role will require working non-standard working hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Solve complex customer support tickets often involving Linux servers, source code, and web application issues
• Effectively communicate technical information to customers and engineering groups at GitHub

Samsara’s Compensation Philosophy: Samsara’s compensation program is designed to deliver total compensation (based on role, level, and geography) that is above market. The Senior Labor Market Data Analyst is a critical position for Calbright College. This position is part of the Workforce, Strategy, and Innovation (WSI) team and is primarily responsible for the development, deployment, and refinement for research methodologies and practice as it relates to economic, occupational, and labor market data (quantitative and qualitative) for reports and special projects. This position reports to the Director of Research, Data Strategy, and Effectiveness, and will work closely with the WSI team and other cross-institutional teams to identify data products that will address users’ needs. This includes internal institutional and external partners (other higher education institutions, employer or industry partners or other strategic partners.) The candidate for this position will have extensive familiarity on various publicly available economic, workforce and education data sets and the ability to analyze large datasets and distill insights into actionable recommendations in support of Calbright College’s mission and strategic goals. The ideal applicant is incredibly detail-oriented, is open and able to handle frequent troubleshooting, a good communicator, and has a deep understanding of the popular data analysis tools and databases.
