About the Team and Job

About the role
We are looking for a Data Lead to join Tymit to set the strategy for our data function and implement it technically. This is a new role at Tymit and will be responsible for designing the new data architecture and bringing it to life.

Challenges for this role
We are looking for a Data Research Analyst that will help us build a reliable and scalable database of sustainability, social and governance information on policies through research on Companies’ CSR and ESG indicators methodology and quality assurance processes.
The role provides an opportunity to understand the reporting standards that exist and how companies sustainability performance is measured.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Working as a Data Research Analyst you will be responsible for ensuring that we have the most accurate data, in order to provide the most reliable sustainability impact measurements. The Data Research Analyst role will include, but not be limited to, the following activities:
Procure, verify and process data on policies by browsing through various financial, exchange and government regulator websites and materials.
Adhere to quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) processes.
Review company-level sustainability issues including environmental, social and corporate governance practices and synthesize these findings into broader frameworks.
Perform ad hoc team projects as needed.
LOCATION AND DURATION OF THE CONTRACT
This position can be based in Madrid or London. Remote opportunities are available as well.

Requirements

About the Role
As a Senior Data Analyst, you will help us understand the world of Whimsical. Data is at the core of all major decisions at Whimsical, and therefore you will be at the epicenter of the company, taking part in many different projects. You’ll mostly work with our Product, Growth, and Go-To-Market teams, but sometimes also with Finance, Customer Experience, and HR.
You will be reporting to our Lead Data Analyst, Paul Koch. Your responsibilities include:
Analyze and explain complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers.
Identify and understand trends in our big datasets.
Construct forecasts, recommendations, strategies, and tactical plans based on our data and market knowledge.
Create ad-hoc reports and key dashboards when needed by the business.
Explore our data, tell stories, and educate us on all the things we are missing.
Work together with Product Managers, leadership, and other stakeholders in the organization on per-project based data explorations and tasks.

Responsible for building and maintaining data marts which collect data and support analytics
