Job Description
The Cloud Advancement Team (CAT) is a highly dynamic, technically advanced group focused on enabling customers’ transition to hyperscaler cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, and GCP. Whether supporting net-new deployments or migrating existing services, CAT ensures optimal performance across infrastructure layers. This team serves as the frontline for system performance and hardware validation within the hyperscalers, driving innovation in server SKUs (CPU, memory, storage), working with Azure on integration issues, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure the service is scalable and supportable.
CAT is not a traditional operations or ticket-handling team; instead, it’s a hybrid group with deep engineering focus. The team is responsible for designing and validating hardware configurations, developing automation for deployment, and debugging complex infrastructure issues across hyperscale environments. Every day brings a new challenge — from scaling deployments to investigating deep system-level bugs — making this team ideal for problem solvers and cloud-savvy engineers.
What you get to do in this role:
Collaborate with cloud providers (Azure, AWS, GCP) to support migrations and new deployments.
Design, test, and validate new server SKUs in partnership with Technical Account Managers and engineering teams.
Build tools and automation to streamline server configuration, validation, and deployment processes before hand-off to Quality Engineering (QE) testing.
Design and develop software integrations with cloud services and internal APIs to support automation of infrastructure operations.
Automate server deployment and scaling processes using tools such as Puppet, Ansible, and Git.
Troubleshoot and resolve tier-3 customer performance issues with a strong emphasis on debugging and root cause analysis.
Act as a technical point of contact for hyperscaler integration issues, particularly for database nodes and performance validation.
Balance short-term customer-driven priorities with long-term capacity planning and automation improvements
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you have:
- Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI’s potential impact on the function or industry.
- Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience.
- Strong hands-on software engineering experience or infrastructure software development experience, with strong proficiency in Python, Go, or similar languages.
- Working knowledge of hyperscaler (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
- Proficient in Linux system administration and debugging.
- Experience with infrastructure automation tools (Puppet, Ansible).
- Solid scripting and automation skills with a developer mindset.
- Familiarity with Git and code-based deployment workflows.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift frequently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, curiosity, and ability to work without a predefined solution path.
Nice to Have:
- Knowledge of ServiceNow platform.
- Experience writing infrastructure tests or using test frameworks in a dev-oriented capacity.
- Background working on developer platforms, DevOps tooling, or internal automation systems.
- Exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible) from a software-centric perspective
For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of $149,900 - $262,200, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Title: Program Manager, Risk Ops Enablement
(Quality)
Location: Chicago United States
Job Description:
Who we are
About Stripe
Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies - from the world's largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups - use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career.
About the team
The Risk Operations Enablement team sits within the Risk Operations org and is responsible for building and operating the core business and strategic programs that are critical to Risk Operations. These programs range from operational excellence initiatives to high-priority, cross-functional initiatives that typically require partnering across broader Risk (e.g., Risk Product) and risk-adjacent (e.g., Policy) teams. More specifically, we both lead initiatives to make step changes in the Risk User Experience and devise and execute strategies to ensure that a wide range of missing-critical business processes are effective at achieving our dual goals of preventing bad actors from exploiting Stripe's systems and delivering an exceptional user experience for legitimate users.
What you'll do
You'll be a builder of the Risk Operations Quality program - designing and standing up quality assurance frameworks, processes, and measurement systems from the ground up, and then scaling them across the broader Risk Operations organization. In parallel, you'll partner cross-functionally across Risk (e.g., Risk Product) and Risk-adjacent (e.g., Policy) teams to lead ambiguous, high-priority problem spaces that change the trajectory of Risk Operations. You'll work closely with Risk Ops leadership, Engineering, and Data Science to ensure quality standards are embedded into our operational workflows and that we have the insights needed to continuously raise the bar on performance and the user experience.
Responsibilities
Lead complex global programs, from initial scoping to design and execution and work on high-impact strategic initiatives
Collaborate with multiple stakeholders across Risk Operations, Risk Product, Risk Eng, and other stakeholder teams (e.g., Policy, Data Science) to prioritize and maximize the impact of your projects
Design and launch programs that lead to step-change improvements in our operational processes and business outcomes
Design and continue building the Risk Operations Quality program - defining frameworks and processes needed to systematically measure and improve operational quality across the org
Stand up agent performance monitoring and calibration processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and fairness in how we evaluate operational quality
Define and track quality metrics and reporting, partnering with Data Science to surface actionable insights to Risk Ops leadership
Scale the Quality program across the Risk Operations organization, ensuring adoption, standardization, and continuous iteration as the program matures
Embody our Operating Principles and foster Stripe's values and culture
Who you are
We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.
Minimum requirements
5+ years of experience in risk program management, strategy, management consulting, business operations, and/or operations program management
The ability to dig deep into the data and think from first principles while delivering the best results
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders with varying priorities and drive creative solutions and commitment to a shared goal
Strong program management skills with experience managing end-to-end execution of projects/programs that have transformed their company's operations
Enjoys solving complex and hard problems and can turn incomplete, conflicting, or ambiguous inputs into solid action plans and deliver quantifiable business impact
Ability to identify repeated user and specialist-facing issues and build scalable solutions and processes to address them
Preferred qualifications
2+ years in consulting
Experience with SQL or willingness to learn
MBA or other graduate degree
Prior experience partnering with Product, Eng, and Operations teams preferred
Hybrid work at Stripe
This role is available either in an office or a remote location (35+ miles or 56+ km from a Stripe office).
In-office expectations
Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for iniduals and their teams.

Design and implement robust networking paths using Advanced Software Defined Network (SDN) and Virtual Networking
Act as the technical bridge between hardware-level drivers and cloud-native platforms like Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift
Develop integration patterns and "well lit paths" for AI workloads, ensuring they meet strict performance and resiliency requirements
Work closely with Product Engineering, Partners, and Customers to root-cause complex issues across the entire stack (Hardware → Kernel → Hypervisor → Container)
Create architectural blueprints and implementation guides for field engineers and lighthouse customers
Explore and experiment with emerging AI technologies relevant to software development, proactively identifying opportunities to incorporate new AI capabilities into existing workflows and tooling
What You Will Bring
7+ years of experience in system integration, infrastructure engineering, or specialized DevOps
Deep practical knowledge of server virtualization technology (ESX, Hyper-V, KVM)
Strong understanding of Software Defined Networking (SDN) concepts
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Podman, or Docker, specifically regarding how containers consume host resources and hardware

Hands-on experience with advanced GPU and Networking configurations for multi-node AI workload orchestration and performance
Background in DevOps or site reliability engineering (SRE)

Experience with performance analysis tools

Title: Staff+ Software Engineer, Systems
Location: San Francisco, CA | New York City, NY | Seattle, WA
Job Description:
About Anthropic
Anthropic's mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the Role
Anthropic's Infrastructure organization is foundational to our mission of developing AI systems that are reliable, interpretable, and steerable. The systems we build determine how quickly we can train new models, how reliably we can run safety experiments, and how effectively we can scale Claude to millions of users - demonstrating that safe, reliable infrastructure and frontier capabilities can go hand in hand.
The Systems engineering team owns compute uptime and resilience at massive scale, building the clusters, automation, and observability that make frontier AI research possible and safely deployable to customers.
Team Matching: Team matching is determined after the interview process based on interview performance, interests, and business priorities. Please note we may also consider you for different Infrastructure teams.
Responsibilities
- Own the technical strategy and roadmap for your area, translating team-level goals into concrete execution plans
- Drive cross-team initiatives to build and scale AI clusters (thousands to hundreds of thousands of machines)
- Define infrastructure architecture, ensuring the hardest problems get solved - whether by you directly or by working through others
- Partner with cloud providers and internal stakeholders to shape long-term compute, data, and infrastructure strategy
- Establish and evolve operational excellence practices (incident response, postmortem culture, on-call)
You may be a good fit if you:
- Have 10+ years of software engineering experience
- Have led complex, multi-quarter technical initiatives that span multiple teams or systems
- Can set technical direction for a team, not just execute within it
- Have deep expertise in distributed systems, reliability, and cloud platforms (Kubernetes, IaC, AWS/GCP)
- Are strong in at least one systems language (Python, Rust, Go, Java)
- Naturally uplevel the engineers around you and can redirect efforts when things are heading off track
- Build alignment across senior stakeholders and communicate effectively at all levels
Strong candidates may have:
- Security and privacy best practice expertise
- Experience with machine learning infrastructure like GPUs, TPUs, or Trainium, as well as supporting networking infrastructure like NCCL
- Low level systems experience, for example linux kernel tuning and eBPF
- Technical expertise: Quickly understanding systems design tradeoffs, keeping track of rapidly evolving software systems
Deadline to apply: None. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
The annual compensation range for this role is listed below.
For sales roles, the range provided is the role's On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role.
Annual Salary:
$405,000-$485,000 USD
Logistics
Education requirements: We require at least a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Location-based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
Visa sponsorship: We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification. Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of erse perspectives on our team.
How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact - advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI - rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in hich to collaborate with colleagues.
