The Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Advisor supports the Data Protection and Monitoring Services (DPMS) team and has experience with various data structures, database structures, data platforms – including on premises and Cloud environments, data models, and data services. Preferred Skills, Capabilities & Experiences: 

• Prior experience in generative AI, LLM's and prompt engineering is highly preferred.
• Requires experience in planning and designing highly complex systems.  
• Prior experience in a Data Loss Prevention Program, Data Classification Program, or similar initiative is highly preferred.
• Basic networking knowledge will be helpful.
• AWS, GCP, M365 and Azure general knowledge is preferred.

The Role

We are looking for an exceptional and experienced Software Quality Engineer who is excited about ensuring high quality web and mobile products across General Motors. The ideal candidate is an expert in automated testing, particularly with BrowserStack, and has a deep understanding of web and mobile application testing, CI/CD pipelines, and cross-platform environments. This role is critical in driving our testing strategy, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring robust, scalable, and user-friendly applications.

What You'll Do

• Automation Development: Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts for web and mobile applications using tools like BrowserStack and Selenium/Appium.
• Write and execute manual tests for features that cannot be automated.
• Leverage the Insomnia and ReadyAPI tools to perform API testing and validate the back-office integration within the ecosystem.
• Quality Assurance Leadership: Define and enforce quality standards, create test plans, and develop testing strategies for web and mobile app features.
• Cross-Platform Testing: Use BrowserStack to test across multiple platforms (Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox, etc) and mobile devices, OS versions, and screen resolutions.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using platforms like GitHub Actions to ensure continuous delivery of high-quality applications
• Defect Tracking and Reporting: Identify, log, and track defects using tools like JIRA, and work closely with developers to resolve issues efficiently.
• Conduct performance testing for web and mobile applications using tools like Apache JMeter, ensuring optimal performance across erse conditions.
• Collaboration: Work with product managers, developers, and other QA engineers to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior QA engineers in best practices, frameworks, and tools.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience in software testing, with a focus on API, mobile, web applications.
• Proficiency in automated testing tools and frameworks, including platforms such as BrowserStack, Perfecto, and Insomnia
• Knowledge of app testing processes on Google Play Store, TestFlight, Firebase and Apple App Store.
• Proficiency with Gherkin
• Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, TypeScript or JavaScript
• Proficient in developing automated tests using page object model design pattern
• Extensive experience with BrowserStack or similar cross-platform testing tools.
• Experience with Test Case Management in Jira and BrowserStack

Samsara’s Compensation Philosophy: Samsara’s compensation program is designed to deliver Total Direct Compensation (based on role, level, and geography) that is at or above market. We do this through our base salary + bonus/variable + restricted stock unit awards (RSUs) for eligible roles. For eligible roles, a new hire RSU award may be awarded at the time of hire, and additional RSU refresh grants may be awarded annually.

Summary of Position

The Latin American Spanish Localization QA Specialist is responsible for evaluating, correcting, and improving localized game content for the LATAM Spanish locale. JOB SUMMARY

A Compatibility Lead will lead compatibility activities in products and systems, ensuring software quality and process improvement. They will lead a team, ensuring software and hardware products work seamlessly across various platforms and configurations. They will collaborate closely with development teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify compatibility requirements and test strategies. Responsibilities include addressing projectimpacting issues, managing team members' performance for excellence, and promoting software development best practices. They also lead training, technical workshops, and mentor other team members. This role is crucial in delivering epic gaming experiences for customers and key internal partners.

• Lead a team, ensuring alignment with senior leadership initiatives and strategy across globally distributed teams.

• Support in developing and implementing scripts and tools to enhance test automation effectiveness and coverage.
• Monitor and control metrics impacting product and team quality, analyzing product quality and usability, associated system limitations, and reporting on risk.
• Provide support and leadership to the assigned team, ensuring their performance is managed effectively and fostering a productive, positive, collaborative work culture.
• Review Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) regularly and collaborate with senior leadership on shifting work or resources to promote test quality, software development best practices, and enhanced customer experience.
• Lead and support projects and initiatives with regional teams, cross-functional partners, and QA teams. Provide resources and assistance, and oversee adherence to projects. Contribute to the long-term QA vision and facilitate communication with stakeholders.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years experience in software or hardware testing.
• Minimum of 1 year in leading teams or projects where there is a direct or indirect leadership role preferred.
• Experience in test planning for complex features/systems.
• Experience testing Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
• Experience in installing and maintaining all supported Windows and macOS operating systems. Knowledge & Skills
• High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), specifically QA processes in agile and waterfall development environments.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for gaining a thorough understanding of the system to be tested from both technical and business user perspectives. The SDET is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks, evaluating test cases for regression testing, automating new functionality, and developing tools to improve test efficiencies. This role works closely with Software Developers, Project Managers, and Product Owners to ensure quality standards are met.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an inidual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily.

• Design and implement automated test frameworks using Java and Cucumber, with a focus on reusability and modular steps definitions.

• Create, maintain, and execute automation test plans

• Write code against software platforms and estimate testing efforts

• Analyze and communicate test results and track defects

• Participate in performance and scalability testing efforts

• Develop, enhance, and extend automation frameworks

• Implement automation for new features during sprint cycles

• Assist in planning and controlling test environments and test data

• Define test strategies and conduct requirements analysis for testability

• Participate in reviewing test procedures and recommend improvements

• Education and/or Experience:

• [Required] BS degree in Computer Science, similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience

• [Preferred] Previous experience with Financial Services, Derivatives Clearing / Risk Management
