About the Role

As the AI Automation Engineer in the AI CoE, you will be instrumental in standing up the initial automation framework for AI Quality. You’ll work closely with the AI Quality Lead and developers to build, run, and scale automated test suites for AI models and agents. 

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks for LLM, RAG, agentic, and classic ML systems 

• Implement golden/adversarial test cases (functional, safety, bias, prompt injection, refusal correctness, tool use) 

• Integrate evaluation tools (promptfoo, Ragas) into CI/CD pipelines and support batch quality assessments 

• Author and validate OpenAPI/JSON Schema contracts for model inputs/outputs; enforce schema checks in pipelines

About the Role

As the AI Quality Lead for the Artificial Intelligence Center of Excellence (AI CoE), you will architect and drive the end-to-end AI Quality program from inception. This is a hands-on leadership role, requiring both strategic vision and technical depth to go from 0→1 in AI Quality at Alight.

An overview of this role

You'll join GitLab's Software Supply Chain Security stage as the Staff Engineer, Secrets Management, providing technical leadership for GitLab's strategic investment in integrated secrets management. You'll set the technical direction for GitLab Secrets Manager, our OpenBao-powered solution that helps customers securely store, distribute, and manage the lifecycle of secrets used across CI/CD pipelines. The Secrets Management team sits within the Pipeline Security group in GitLab's Software Supply Chain Security stage. Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience 

• BSc/BEng (or higher) in Computer Science or equivalent experience in a related technical discipline

• Expert in developing single-page applications using Typescript, React, SCSS & WebPack or equivalent (e.g. JavaScript-Angular)

• TDD / Unit Testing – we currently use Jest

• This position is oriented toward API‑centric development and front‑end implementation, supported by a strong grasp of back‑end principles. Database optimization is not a primary focus for this role

As a member of the Healthcare Team, the Data Quality Manager plays a key role in the analysis, interpretation and presentation of healthcare data across NEC’s services, for delivery to a wide range of healthcare related organisations.  Based upon the underlying data captured through NEC’s healthcare services, the focus of the role is to work with customers, prospects and other NEC staff to understand reporting requirements from this data, and to use reporting tools such as Power BI and SQL Server to develop these reports in line with customer and market requirements.

The Data Quality Manager will also use market knowledge and customer intelligence in order to specify and develop reports that enhance the value of NEC’s propositions its customers and to the wider healthcare market.

What You’ll Do: 

The Quality Management function sits at the center of CoreWeave’s infrastructure delivery ecosystem, ensuring that products, systems, and supplier outputs meet defined technical, regulatory, and operational standards across a rapidly scaling data center portfolio. This team partners closely with Engineering, Strategic Sourcing, Manufacturing, Construction, and Operations to embed quality into every phase of the asset lifecycle — from design intent through factory build, site installation, and long-term operation. The role serves as a critical control point for risk reduction, performance consistency, and continuous improvement across high-value, mission-critical infrastructure.

Quality Strategy & Governance

• Define and maintain CoreWeave’s quality framework across suppliers, manufacturing partners, and field execution.
• Establish quality standards, acceptance criteria, and inspection plans aligned to engineering specifications and operational requirements.
• Own quality governance models, including escalation paths, corrective action processes, and executive reporting.
• Standardize core quality processes: NCR, deviation requests, corrective actions workflows and lessons learned mechanisms.

Supplier & Manufacturing Quality

• Lead supplier quality onboarding, qualification, and ongoing performance management for critical infrastructure vendors.
• Conduct supplier audits, FATs, and manufacturing readiness reviews to ensure conformance prior to shipment.
• Drive supplier corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) with measurable closure and sustained improvement.
• Partner with Strategic Sourcing and Engineering to incorporate quality requirements into RFPs, contracts, and Supplier Quality Agreements and documentation requirements.

Field Quality & Installation Readiness

• Partner with construction and commissioning teams to ensure equipment arrives complete, compliant, and installation-ready.
• Own Investigation and resolution of field quality issues including defects, non-conformances, installation deviations and missing documentation.
•  Ensure lessons learned from field issues are systematically fed back into supplier requirements and RFPs.

Data Integrity, Metrics & Continuous Improvement

• Define and track quality KPIs such as First Pass Yield, Defect Rate, NCR closure time, and Supplier Quality Scorecards.
• Define and maintain accurate quality records within QMS, ERP, and project systems to enable traceability and audit readiness.
• Apply statistical analysis and root cause methodologies to identify systemic issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Build dashboards and operating rhythms to support OKR and metrics (quarterly/yearly quality business reviews)

About the role:

The Quality Manager owns end-to-end quality execution across supplier manufacturing, logistics, installation readiness, and operational handoff for mission-critical infrastructure assets. This role is accountable for preventing defects, reducing rework, and protecting schedule and cost by embedding quality early and consistently. You will act as the technical authority on quality standards, lead investigations into complex failures, and ensure corrective actions result in measurable improvement. Success in this role requires disciplined execution, strong technical judgment, and the ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.

Who You Are: 

• 8–12+ years of experience in quality management, quality engineering, or supplier quality within infrastructure, manufacturing, or technology environments
• Demonstrated experience building and owning quality management systems (QMS) across multi-supplier ecosystems
• Proven track record conducting supplier audits, FAT/SATs, and driving CAPA programs with documented outcomes
• Strong experience applying structured problem-solving methodologies (8D, FMEA, RCA, SPC) to reduce defect rates and systemic risk
• Experience managing quality for complex mechanical and electrical systems (e.g., generators, switchgear, cooling equipment, power distribution)
• Ability to define, track, and report quality metrics tied to operational and financial impact

The base salary range for this role is $161,000 to $237,000. The starting salary will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. As a key contributor, you will lead the on-device inference and performance optimization of ML models powering outdoor monitoring in the home security space. This role is less about inventing new CV architectures and more about making models fast, power-efficient, stable, and shippable on real embedded hardware (outdoor cameras and doorbells). You will operate across the stack (from model runtime integration down to kernel/operator optimization, memory movement, scheduling, and accelerator utilization) to deliver reliable real-time behavior under tight compute, memory, bandwidth, and thermal constraints across device tiers.

Responsibilities:

• Own the embedded deployment and performance of on-device ML inference for outdoor monitoring workloads (real-time video/event pipelines).

• Optimize end-to-end inference performance across CPU/DSP/NPU/GPU (as applicable): latency, throughput (FPS), memory footprint, power, thermals, startup time, and stability.

• Perform kernel/operator-level optimization:

• vectorization (e.g., SIMD/NEON), tiling, cache-friendly memory layouts

• reducing bandwidth and memory copies, optimizing post-processing

• fusing ops, minimizing synchronization/overhead, thread scheduling

• Integrate and maintain ML models within embedded pipelines:

• model import/export validation, operator compatibility, graph transforms

• runtime integration in C/C++ (including pre/post-processing)

• robust error handling, watchdogs, and safe fallback behavior

• Drive quantization and deployment readiness from an embedded perspective:

• validate INT8/FP16 paths, calibration flows, numerical accuracy checks

• debug quantization edge cases and operator mismatches on target runtimes

• Build tooling for profiling, benchmarking, and regression tracking on devices:

• per-layer timing, memory tracking, thermal/perf tests, CI gating

• automated performance regression gating across device tiers and firmware versions

• Partner closely with ML engineers to translate model changes into deployment impact; provide constraints and design guidance that improve deployability and performance.

• Provide Staff-level leadership: set performance standards, lead technical reviews, mentor engineers, and influence platform roadmap for on-device ML.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in embedded systems and/or performance engineering, with experience shipping production software on constrained devices.
• Strong C/C++ expertise with deep knowledge of low-level performance topics: CPU architecture, memory hierarchy, concurrency, and real-time considerations.
• Demonstrated experience optimizing ML inference on embedded targets, including operator/kernel tuning and end-to-end pipeline optimization.
• Familiarity with modern vision model families (transformer-based detectors such as DEIM/DFINE/RT-DETR series and CNN-based detectors such as YOLO family or similar) sufficient to optimize their execution characteristics (tensor shapes, attention/conv patterns, post-processing).
• Experience with on-device inference runtimes and deployment workflows (e.g., TFLite, ONNX Runtime, TensorRT or vendor runtimes), including operator support constraints and graph-level transformations.
• Strong debugging and profiling skills (perf, flame graphs, hardware counters, tracing) and ability to drive performance investigations to closure.
• Ability to lead cross-functionally across ML, firmware, and hardware teams; comfortable defining benchmarks/KPIs and making tradeoffs.

Bonus Points:

• Experience with embedded accelerators and vendor toolchains (DSP/NPU compilers, delegates, GPU compute, custom runtimes).
