Title: Associate Solutions Engineer
Location: Aliso Viejo CA US
Type: Full-time
Workplace: Hybrid remote
Job Description:
About Authorium & This Role
Authorium helps public-sector leaders modernize complex, document-heavy processes—procurement, budgeting, grants, and legislative analysis. We turn manual, paper-based workflows into efficient digital operations that deliver transparency, accountability, and measurable impact for government. Authorium is a public benefit company built around a mission to make government work better. We believe digital transformation in the public sector isn’t just about technology—it’s about empowering people to deliver better outcomes for their communities.
As an Associate Solutions Engineer (Assoc. SE), you’ll be hands-on in this digital transformation. You’ll translate real-world requirements—whether a state budget request, a legislative bill analysis, or a procurement workflow—into working configurations in the Authorium no-code platform. Your work helps governments move from static documents to dynamic, auditable processes so customers realize value quickly and confidently. Every configuration you build directly supports more efficient, transparent, and equitable government operations.
You’ll be part of a unified delivery squad that embodies our C.A.R.E. values: Collaboration, Accountability, Resilience, and Establishing Excellence.
What You’ll Do
- Configure the platform. Translate customer documents and underlying workflows into Authorium. Configure solicitations, budget/grant programs, and legislative analysis processes by layering in approvals, routing logic, data validations, and business rules that bring digital government to life.
- Model processes & rules. Map current-state to future-state; maintain workflow diagrams, decision tables, and business-rules matrices that make configurations clear, repeatable, and auditable.
- Own quality. Proofread and test configurations end-to-end for accuracy, consistency, accessibility, and usability; maintain crisp documentation that de-risks delivery and speeds reviews.
- Troubleshoot & iterate. Reproduce issues, triage root causes (content vs. workflow vs. data), and propose fixes; escalate risks early with clear repro steps and options.
- Collaborate to deliver. Partner with Solutions Engineers (SEs) and Senior SEs to align on business rules, hit timelines, and continuously improve shared checklists, playbooks, and templates.
- Contribute to enablement. Share what you learn—create short how-tos, improve checklists, and participate in internal reviews so the whole team levels up.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- 1–2 years’ experience in B2B SaaS, software implementation, process/workflow management, or document management (or equivalent education/experience).
- Strong Microsoft Word skills and comfort with enterprise tools/workflows.
- Exceptional attention to detail and proofreading skills.
- Technical acumen to understand and communicate process flows, rules, and dependencies.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication; proactive, curious learner who shares knowledge.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with public-sector processes (procurement, budgeting, grants, legislative analysis).
- Experience supporting no-code or low-code platforms—or strong curiosity about how configuration replaces traditional coding.
- Comfort collaborating with technical teams on integrations between no-code platforms and enterprise systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, DocuSign, ServiceNow).
- Experience supporting process automation, workflow configuration, or delivery projects.
- Exposure to customer-facing delivery or internal project support; comfort balancing scope, quality, and timelines.
- Nice-to-have: comfort reading basic JSON/CSV, light spreadsheet skills (filters, lookups), and simple flow-diagramming.
How You’ll Work
- Ownership & urgency. Move work forward efficiently—even as requirements evolve.
- Accountability to quality. Deliver accurate configurations and workflows; communicate risks early and clearly.
- Team-first collaboration. Ask for help when blocked; provide thoughtful peer reviews; contribute to a respectful, learning-oriented culture.
- Growth mindset. Seek feedback, adopt best practices, and build toward SE responsibilities with mentorship from Sr. SEs.
Tools You’ll Use
Microsoft Word/Google Docs, spreadsheets (Google Sheets/Excel), workflow diagramming (e.g., Lucid/Draw.io/Miro), issue tracking (e.g., Jira), internal knowledge bases/Playbooks, and the Authorium platform. Experience with code or APIs is a plus, especially as we integrate with other enterprise platforms.
Work Location
Based in Authorium’s Orange County (Aliso Viejo) office. This role follows a hybrid schedule—typically 3 days per week in-office—with flexibility around project needs and personal commitments.
Benefits
- Salary Range: $80,000-$88,000
- 100% benefits coverage for employee
- 401K Profit Share plan
- Flexible PTO
- Home office stipend
- Comprehensive wellness benefits
- Commuter stipend for hybrid roles
