• Innovate and develop software applications to support clinical development

• 3+ years of DevOps experience with cloud platforms, specifically AWS (EKS, RDS, EC2).
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

• Extensive experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS) and modern data platforms (e.g., Snowflake).

Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Test Engineer to design, develop, and implement testing methods ensuring products satisfy business requirements.  This will be a fully remote position within the United States.

Responsibilities

Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment to ensure that the product will perform to specifications. Plans and arranges the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating the product. Designs test cases for test plans and creates test scenarios in which tests are carried out. Compiles data, defines required changes and reports defects and problems that occurred during the test process. Implements and participates in the walkthrough of the product. Automated testing may be used for leveling based on hiring manager discretion. 

• Consults with the development and/or requirements team to coordinate and test applications. 

• Performs analysis, diagnostics, and preliminary evaluations of products. Develop testing procedures.  

• Develops test plans, scripts, scenarios, functional tests, regression tests, and deployment tests.  

• Implements the testing processes and ensures all test activities follow those processes. Produces reports on each test activity and tracks test metrics.

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED

What Work You Will be Responsible For:

• Lead end-to-end delivery of defensive cybersecurity consulting engagements—from scoping to executive read-out—covering Risk & Compliance, Cloud and Application Security, Security Operations, and more.

• Assess client Windows Server environments, Active Directory structures, and access controls to identify security and compliance gaps.

• Evaluate and provide guidance on Office 365/Azure or AWS configurations, including security, compliance, and identity management settings.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree

  5+ years of experience administering Windows Server environments, with a solid understanding of Active Directory structure and permissions.

• Familiarity with Office365/Azure or AWS administration, including security/compliance features.

• Knowledge of network infrastructure and device configurations, with the ability to interpret firewall rules, VLAN/routing, and other general network configurations.

• Develop the ADV's modular architecture and frameworks to achieve low latency, high reproducibility and realism when simulating in our data centers, while maintaining high performance for on-car driving.
• Optimize system resource usage to simulation at scale in Cloud datacenters: minimizing CPU utilization and latency, minimizing RAM consumption, intelligently determining which computations should happen on CPU, GPU, and TPU.
• Collaborate to resolve compute performance bottlenecks throughout the ADV, simulator and analysis software stacks, ensuring end-to-end low latency for simulation and analysis.
• Develop necessary high scale performance evaluation, debugging and software change management processes.

You have:

• BS in Comp Sci, EE, Robotics, Physics, Math, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer or similar roles
• 3 years of experience in C++
• 2 years of experience working on a large-scale/high complexity system (supported by hundreds of engineers)
• 2 years of experience working on infrastructure work: building performant, easy to use, scalable systems and tools.

We prefer:

• 2 years in infrastructure/systems/performance domain optimizing end-to-end system for high performance
• 2 years of experience optimizing software systems using profile guided techniques
• Experience in large-scale evaluation techniques

JOB DUTIES

CTMS Study Builds and Maintenance

• The primary role of this position will be assisting with the setup, build, activation, and ongoing support of all trial types (federally funded, industry-sponsored, and investigator initiated human subject research) in Clinical Conductor – SLU’s CTMS system.

• This involves reviewing clinical research protocol documents and replicating the protocol schedule of events and collaborating with direct supervisor, finance team, clinical research team, project manager, health system representatives, consultants, and vendors to ensure overall completion of goals, schedules, and deadline.

• Analyst would also update CTMS protocol information as amendments occur to the protocol calendar/ budget.

QA/QC and Reporting

• Perform system testing as directed and quality control of application functionality during application upgrades.

• Helps to develop and build reports for CTO, business managers, SOM leadership.

• Assists with user training, as needed.

• Assists with auditing of each system to ensure minimum data requirements.

Site Support/Training

• Provide first line of technical support (help desk) to current users who encounter problems or have questions with CTMS electronic systems - include Advarra's Clinical Conductor and eReg, as well as any related interfaces with additional systems, and any future systems deployed to support the research mission.
